Russell0WestbrookParticipantI live in chicago so I see almost all of their games and I’ve noticed that the team plays a lot better with rose and hinrich on the court together. I think he should start cuz he’s a great defender and rose can do his thing without a lot of the offense going through salmons. With this lineup they could have salmons come off the bench and run the offense through him and he can be what godon used to be. Salmons also takes a lot of dengs looks when this guy looked like he could be a 18 to 20 point scorer per game

llperezOne positive of bringing Kirk off the bench is that he can play either gaurd spot wich makes him a great 6th man. But the BUlls defenitley don’t lose anything when he comes in. One thing of note maybe bulls fans might want to comment on, I was watching a little of tonights game and the Blazer’s announcers were saying how Salmons is not a better defender then Ben Gordon. I thought that was just wrong. i remember Salmons being a very good defender with Sacramento.

IndianaBasketballParticipantYea lol I had to disagree with that too. The Blazers announcers are pretty knowledgable, but they were off with that one.

Champzilla21ParticipantSalmons is a great defender thats why i like him starting over hinrich so he can guard the teams best perimeter player and when hinrich comes in he can guard the best perimeter player on the court so i think theyve got it right right now

marcusfizer21ParticipantI think the Blazers commentators are not familiar with what John Salmons brings to the table… Salmons is a pretty solid but underrated defender and that’s scary when that kind of player’s skill is under-appreciated by most… He is one of the most consistent perimeter defenders and I really object on that comment that Ben Gordon was a better defender than him… That’s like a stump on his foot…

Michael.S.ParticipantRaptors commentators= “well……that dunk on bosh was ok, ive seen better”. the next play down the court “BARGNANI WITH THE TREY, SOMEONE BETTER GET OUT ON HIM”

llperezyeah, commentators can be funny with their bias. Speaking of commentators, did you guys hear about the clipper commentators both getting suspended 1 game for some comments about Haddadi from Memphis? A Clipper fan got upset that they called it I-Ran(eye-ran) which is a mis pronounciation of (ur-ahn). Plus they said that he could be played by Borat in a movie. They were suspended for insensitive racial remarks. I thought an appology would have done and it was no big deal, just two guys joking around.

Michael.S.Participantto Hamed? I like that guy……..he seems cool……………..some messed up commentators………………….i saw a clip on NBATV though of him and Rudy Gay eating at some food……………did you know Arabs ate baby back ribs?

IndianaBasketballParticipantTERRIBLE. Mike and Lawler are classy guys. I was watching the game at the time and it wasn’t racist, etc at all. I can’t believe they got suspended by FOX NEWS of all stations. Absolutely ridiculous. Majority of people pronounce it “Eye” ran. Saying Haddadi looked like Borat is no different than saying Andre Kirilenko looks like the Russian boxer from Rocky. It was just a joke.

IndianaBasketballParticipant“Did you know Arabs ate baby back ribs?”
Be careful Mikenike… You may get suspended for that “insensitive” racial remark.

llperezI’ve never really thought about what arabs eat to be honest. I have a friend from ethiopia, and he took me to a ethiopian restraunt(yes they do exist) and it was not that good. It looked like rotten pancake that was dumped in some hot sauce. I’m all about sushi and seafood personally.

llperezyeah tezo, the clipper announcers are two of the best imo. I didn’t hear it live but read about it later and thought it was just two dudes joking around. A suspension was dumb.

Michael.S.ParticipantBut its true…………..I paid this chinese kid to come to my house to draw my parents a map of the world, and fix my wii…….and I had to use the bathroom…………….When I come out all I see Is a knife to my cats tail……….I say what are you doing………….then he says ” we ran out”. Adi JosephActually, very interesting stuff here with the Bulls +/- stats. Hinrich and Rose — whose play has unquestionably been below par this year — have two of the three worst adjusted +/- numbers on the team.
http://www.82games.com/0910/0910CHI1.HTM
What this means is, you look at the point differential when a specific guy is on the court as opposed to when he’s not. Then you divide the overall +/- by the number of minutes played. It’s all fairly well explained in the key below the numbers.
But as you can see — and as is also validated by the Top 5-Man Units page, Brad Miller might actually somehow be the key to the Bulls success. Either that, or Joakim Noah is their primary weakness. Last season, though, Miller again earned an incredible +/-.
This all makes sense when you consider Miller is the only offensively inclined big man on the Bulls. They need some presence in the post, and Noah, Thomas and Gibson aren’t enough.
