Zeke313ParticipantReportedly for 2 years 2.5 million with a team option for the second year. This is great for Brandon Knight as he can learn from Chauncey while still playing meaningful minutes. WELCOME BACK TO DETROIT!!!

Zeke313ParticipantYeah but this move may spell the end for Peyton Siva though 🙁 I can’t see Dumars running with four point guards on the roster unless Chauncey will play the two… Maybe we can send him to Europe or the D-League. Either way this is a great move by Joe and now I have full confidence that the PG position will be stable for us this year.

TripleDoubleScoutParticipantThis is solid for Knight, but GREAT for drummond and Monroe (if he stays). People don’t realize the value of a good point guard for the development of a big man…

i’m jus so offendedParticipantIs he going to start you think? I’d say yeah if he’s fully healthy. Will be great for leading and distributing among that front line. KCP would benefit greatly too in terms of spacing and Mr. Big Shot’s savvy. Good move.

CoachLinkParticipantWhy would u start him and stunt Brandon’s growth? I say Brandon starts and billiups becomes his mentor they didn’t bring him in to make a big scoring impact he’s there to lead… I don’t see him getting many mins honestly

HobbyOGParticipantGreat move for Pistons, Brandon Knight will benefit from this the most.

Sharp ShooterParticipantInteresting to see Billups old protege’ Stuckey on same the team again, and Billups now new protege’ Knight. Even though I doubt Stuckey will be in a pistons uniform by the start of the nba season. But I agree with the poster ‘IM JUST OFFENDED’ (?) this does wonders for spacing the floor for shooters Singler & KCP (who has a similar style play of rip) its just a matter of him getting used to the NBA. Also for Drummond (who has a similar style of play of big ben/Alonzo mourning)..Detroit are quietly making some good moves. It looks like Kim English/Peyton Siva will get the boot though.

druneave3ParticipantGreat move, until his next injury(s). Who will be head coach for Detroit first, Billups or Sheed?

RUDEBOY_ParticipantHis presence in the locker room will certainingly help the young players..And his presence also takes minutes away from them….But if he can stay healthy, his savvy, experience, leadership & clutch shooting will be priceless….
At the time of the trade, i felt Dumars was making a mistake..Detroit had been to 6 or 7 straight Eastern Confernce Finals and were 1 of the few teams that played like ”a team”..Iverson was 1 of my favorite players, but he didnt fit them at all….
There were reports Billups and Dumars werent getting along..And it seemed the Pistons felt they had Billups replace in Stuckey..While Stuckey has been a good player,he never could duplicate or bring to the intangibles that Billups brought to it…..And the Detroit havent been the same since Billups. was traded…….
I feel Billups will be 1 of those players that has the makeup to become a head coach 1 day….

Afactor4ParticipantGet ready for a lot of contested three pointers. They start to get annoying after a while.

IndianaBasketballParticipantRip was cut, so he’s available.
Wouldn’t be surprised if that happened.
