Charlie SheenParticipantIf a hard cap is established then I think the NBA should allow all players to restructure their contracts so everyone fits under the cap also they should have non guaranteed contracts with out clauses for players who dont produce unless they suffer severe basketball relate injuries(ala Redd, Hill and Yao) but teams should still have to pay those guys with injuries they would just not count against the cap if they miss a year of play.
Hard Cap 65mil- even for small and big markets
Max salary- 65mil/5yrs- cap hold 10mil so say thats 50mil guaranteed more than enough with incentives
minimum salary- 500k w/2mil bonus for producing
vets minimum- 1.5mil w/3mil bonus for producing certain requirements
no more player/team options
3yr draft rule we need seasoned guys I know college isnt for everyone but for every D-Rose. Blake and KD there’s a Kwame Brown, Gerald Green and Sebastian Telfair- college is about 1 learning how to play the game, 2 learning responsibility and becoming a man and 3 earning everything that means working hard for 3 years proving you belong in the NBA
move teams to better markets here’s how
These cities are great sports towns or great markets and need NBA teams so they can get more revenue
Seattle- Minnesota or Memphis
Las Vegas- Sacramento
Chicago should have a 2nd team- Milwaukee
Baltimore imagine the B-More/DC rivialry come on man- Charlotte
Kansas City- New Orleans unless the NO finds some stability if not Memphis
Last Thing
single D-League affiliates where teams can develop guys on their own every team has a d-league affiliate who plays before the NBA game starsts JV type stuff but like at 12 if the NBA game starts at 7 probably on a college campus if anything but this allows guys to let players develop while holding on to roster spots
I should be runnning the NBA i have a lot of ideas….the money is important the quality of the product should be the main focus

TyroberParticipantI like some of your ideas, but a 3yr draft rule is just ridiculous. You know what your going to get from a player after watching him in college. Watching him for 2 more additional years isnt going to do anything other than make him lose out of millions of dollars. I use to think the 1 year was silly, but it does help teams. That one year of college does wonders for most players and instead of teams just drafting on potential they draft guys who can help their team. 3 years just hurts the players and making them wait for no reason when they could be making millions and learning from the best players and coaches in the world

Hi its BenParticipantYeah just imagine D-Rose would have came out last year… but he won the MVP this year lol why would we make a stud like that sit at a college campus when he could develop the way D-Rose has while being in the league
