butidonthavemoneyA few things have been confusing me. I wanted to see if any intelligent users could satisfy my brain with GOOD answers to my questions.
You will win credibility.
1. How do David West and Emeka Okafor not perfectly compliment each other? Or do they? On paper it seems like a great fit in the front-court.
2. How much does replacing David Lee with Amare Stoudemire improve the Knicks? He’s a better shot-blocker but a worse rebounder. Can he really do more offensively than Lee?
3. How do you think the loss of Coach Mike Brown will affect the Cavs next season? Does this hurt team chemistry even further or is it possible that losing LeBron and a new coach can light a fire under the Cavs and keep them competitive?

McWinningParticipant1. How do David West and Emeka Okafor not perfectly compliment each other? Or do they? On paper it seems like a great fit in the front-court.
It would seem like that and i actually think if Pauls was healthy they would have been a suprise team.
Also Okafor has gotten lazier after signing his extension. But skillwize they do compliment each other pretty well.
2. How much does replacing David Lee with Amare Stoudemire improve the Knicks? He’s a better shot-blocker but a worse rebounder. Can he really do more offensively than Lee?
I agree, Amare is a much more versatile offensively, and is slightly better defensively, but still their not THAT much better than last year.
3. How do you think the loss of Coach Mike Brown will affect the Cavs next season? Does this hurt team chemistry even further or is it possible that losing LeBron and a new coach can light a fire under the Cavs and keep them competitive?
I think their rebuilding so it makes sense to get a new coach.
After the moves theyv made their not a playoff contender, Hicksons a pretty good player, Eyenga has some talent, the thing is they dont have any leaders.
Williams, and Jamison are too laid back.

PlatypusParticipant1. the perfect fit with David West was Tyson Chandler because of the offense and defense they brought
2. his stats will be less because Stat has an actual big to play with unlike Lee
3. The teams chemistry will be on pure emotion to do better than Lebron. and Scott is a great coach

Michael.S.Participant1. How do David West and Emeka Okafor not perfectly compliment each other? Or do they? On paper it seems like a great fit in the front-court.
They do, it’s just that N.O. sucked last year so nothing about them looked good xcept Thornton and Collison. Without CP3 for much of the year there was nobody to create for the big guys, thus it looked like they struggle, which they did…Thornton and Collison looked good caus they can create shots for themselves which Okaforand to a lesser dgree West can’t.
2. How much does replacing David Lee with Amare Stoudemire improve the Knicks? He’s a better shot-blocker but a worse rebounder. Can he really do more offensively than Lee?
Yes, he can do more offensively than Lee but Lee brought far better intangeables and rebounding… This still makes the Knicks slightly better.
3. How do you think the loss of Coach Mike Brown will affect the Cavs next season? Does this hurt team chemistry even further or is it possible that losing LeBron and a new coach can light a fire under the Cavs and keep them competitive?
Well, they will be just as competitive as any team there is, but the question is do they have adequate talent to win basketball games

JNixonParticipant1.Okafor is a defensive presence……when he can defend PF’s. Charlotte used him at C, and New Orleans has too. He’s not at his best at C. He has the strength to play there with decent effectiveness, but not at a winning level consistently. West and Okafor are both true PF’s, and playing Okafor for extended minutes at C limits his and his teams overall effectiveness.
2. I think his scoring numbers will be slightly better (like 22 ppg), but I think he’ll get less boards (like 9 rpg) and less assists. He fits in the pick and roll better than Lee, but it depends on what you like more to determine if you thing one is better than the other. Lee got more boards, assists and less blocks. Amare will get more points and blocks and he can defend C’s slighty better.
3. They are going to be a lotto team. Even if they had Mike Brown.

btown gmParticipant1. the reason why west, okafor dont succeed is becuz nither is a low post scorer, west is a pick and pop guy who lives of chris paul, while okeafor just cleans up garbage and is a force on the glass. west can score but is undersized and lenght bothers him probaly why he is a faceup player. also esulting on him having lower rebounding numbers. defensivly there a decent combo okefor has to carry the rebouniding load
2. im not an amare fan becuz nash made is lif easy, will we see the monster dunks with felton at pg i dont know. david lee has gotten better every year and he played in a offensive system. lee is better on the glass by far but amare does have a slight edge on ofene being stronger and having a better jumper. we just have to see if amare can be amare without nash i personaly doubt it.

btown gmParticipant3. im from toronto and i felt hopeless the first couple of days but after seeing sonny weems, derozan, ed davis it gave me hope again and clevland also needs hope again and maybe getting a new coach with new vision my do that. i know fans dont get hope from a new coach but as great as mike brown was he didnt get the job done, byron scott has ben to the finals and maybe he can find a system that works without LBJ

BasterdInABasketParticipant1.West is a stretch 4 with average size for that position. Okafor is a solid defender but he also does not have the size for the C position. If Okafor was taller and longer I would say they complement eachother nicely but really you have two fours without great post games.
2. Just Amare is a slight upgrade over Lee but add Felton to play with him and get on the break should help a lot and both really fit Dantoni really well.
3. That actually would have been really interesting to see what kind of offense brown would have run. As long as he was the coach in CLE their offense the majority of the time was Lebron penetrating and not much else. Theyll be about a 30 to 35 win team but theyll play hard for Scott- hes definitely an upgrade over Brown.
