Does Chad Ford not know that the Nuggets draft Kenneth Faried last year?

It’s crunch time. With the NBA draft less than 10 days away, the finishing touches of the process are playing out with individual workouts, team interviews and doctors combing over physicals combined with heated arguments in war rooms across the NBA.

While teams are getting closer to finalizing their draft boards, there’s still time for things to change. Here’s our best stab, after talking to numerous NBA team sources, about how the draft might play out June 28:

I would take Doron Lamb over Will Barton every hour of every day of every week

I dont see Draymond in the 1st round. The Heat would be better off getting a big like Ezeli, who could help with protecting the rim.

NOH might go big also w/ the 10th pick.. having traded Okafor.. Kaman/Landry won’t probably re-sign.. they only have Jason Smith

    Amare,

Yeah, I also think that the Heat need a center too, but Draymond would be a great sixth man type and a Udonis Haslem replacement down the road. The Heat could go with a lineup Chalmers, Wade, LeBron, Draymond Green, and Chris Bosh at pivot — five talented guys who can shoot, pass, and make plays. He would be a great addition to the team and also take some preside off of Haslem up front and Battier at the 3/4 spot.

Green would be a good core guy going forward for the Heat. They might be better off drafting him in the first round and try to acquire a second round pick to go after Henry Sims, Sacre, or Miles Plumlee. Getting Green and adding a center would complete the Heat team for next year.

Will Barton will be a solid NBA player. He has upside to be more than Lamb will be. While Lamb has a higher floor Barton’s cieling is higher and late in the first you take a swing on talent like that.

Everyone is saying Washington has a gaping hole at the 2. Poor Jordan Crawford! I know his percentages aren’t great, but that kid is young and can score in bunches. I’d rather have Crawford at the 2 and add MKG or Barnes than have Trevor Ariza, who averages 9 points and 4 rebounds at the 3 and draft a 2.

You all realize for doesn’t "hate Doron Lamb" but goes by what players his sources say teams are looking at, right?

Lamb makes a lot of sense for the Cavs, in my opinion, and if he isn’t picked by them, I have a hard time believing the Bulls won’t scoop him up.  Jenkins is a nice player, but Lamb is as good of a shooter, younger and he has potential.

If the Cavs take someone other than Beal at No. 4, then they’ll certainly target a 2 at No. 24. But I don’t want Doron Lamb. I want a more aggressive attacker of the basket, with handles, who can create for himself and others. I’m sick of watching catch-and-shoot players who don’t put pressure on defenses, like Anthony Parker and Daniel Gibson. Doron Lamb might carve out a nice career for himself somewhere, but he seems like a guy who is easy to cover if you close out hard on him and make him put the ball on the floor.

Kyrie can shoot from the perimeter, and hopefully whoever they take at No. 4 can as well, so I’d prefer Tony Wroten or Evan Fournier at No. 24 over Doron Lamb or Jenkins or one of those guys.
