markfitz14ParticipantIt has been reported that Ainge might have been talking about Okafor when he said the Celtics made a run at someone nobody was talking about. They prbly offered the Nets pick. Seems like a good trade for both teams. Can’t blame the 76ers for waiting. Just no need to make the trade right now. I gotta figure as long as the Nets pick dosen’t land on 1 that this trade could still go down in the summer. Celts get their Center and the 76ers prbly get a point guard in Dunn.

BleedGreen808ParticipantIf this was the trade Ainge was talking about then I’m glad the 76ers backed out of the trade. I’d rather wait to see where the Brooklyn pick ends up after the lottery. If the pick ends up being top 2 then Boston should keep the pick and take Simmons or Ingram. However, if the pick is 3rd or lower I’d be interested in a trade for Okafor even though I’m not sure how well he fits Brad Stevens system. His low-post game is a huge upgrade over Boston’s current bigs but his poor defense is what worries me.

EndlessknightParticipantAs a Sixers fan I feel the exact same way.
If the pick is not 2 top there is no was I was give up Okafor for it. Okafor drop 31 on 12-19 shooting last night. If he was allowed to play center full time he would easily average 20 a game on 50+% as a rookie. (His per36 is already 21/game). In the last 5 games since moving to PF he’s aveaging 21 points and 9.8 rebounds on 55% shooting.

circumlocution75Participant& that Brooklyn Lottery pick is Extremely valuable…… Aigne is gunning for Championships……
He’s not some shlub GM of a middling team just looking for a splashy headline to buy himself an extension…….
This really gives the average fan insight into just how valuable Okafor really is to a GM like Aigne & around the League…… this kid has serious upside…..

Reptilian MonkParticipantCould of been DeMarcus Cousins. Nobody was talking about Cousins during the dealine like Love, Horford, Howard were. Or Ainge is just trolling us.

Hype MachineCould be right about the trolling…
Because Ainge and Philly are trade rivals and he could just be talking smack as a form of gamesmanship.
He knows one of those Philly bigs has to go.. why not artificially inflate the price to deter trade partners…

Robb_CParticipantThat’s a great frame to look at it from..

EndlessknightParticipantBy infalting the price isn’t he just helping the Sixers?

Chilbert arenasParticipantCeltics side note: Does anyone else think Sullinger should have a Boris Diaw esq body fat% clause in his next contract? He’s looking soft and jiggly.

CU.LIONSParticipantTrading Sully is easier said than done. It’s not like other NBA teams don’t know he has a weight problem.

Charles ChapmanOne year contracts would be best for Sully and for the team that signs him. Just like with Sully’s mentor, Rondo.
Sully is easily worth 12-13 mil per year, but Danny should only give it up one year at a time.

DanielcmccartyParticipantJared Sullinger averages 10 points, 8 rebounds and a half a block a game, I dont think that means he is "easily worth 12-13 million a year’

Hype MachineEvery team is going to have cap space…so there will be intense bidding wars.
I think Sullinger will get 3 years, 50m
