This is why I know the lakers will be back the league needs these rivalries back! But evenly matched unlike the gsw cle “rivalry”

OhCanada-ParticipantThey have their own pick, Sacramento’s pick, Memphis pick protected 1-8 and Phillys pick protected 1-14. That Sacramento pick has a real good chance of being 1st overall and will likely be Top 5 unless they make some drastic changes. They didnt show a whole lot this year.

RUDEBOY-ParticipantAinge is looking like a genius now after acquiring those pick. Speaking of the Celtics

CU.LIONSParticipantI love having picks for Boston, but they really need to consolidate them for a great player somehow. They don’t have room on their roster for 4 more players.
But in Ainge we trust.

RUDEBOY-ParticipantInteresting to see what they do with Smart, he’s a restricted free agent this summer. Last night he said he wants more than 12 or 14 more. Rozier & Morris will be free agents next summer . What’s Ainge decision on them??

220ParticipantIt likely largely depends on how bad Smart and Morris want to return. Ainge is unlikely to overpay long-term for either of them so if they are willing to take modest deals they will return. I feel like Marcus Smart is likely to get a larger deal and end up leaving. I think Marcus Morris will return.

BeastMode716Participantthey got from Phila in the Fultz / Tatum trade for an experienced Veteran
And I believe Phila is Very relieved that it’s the King’s pick & Not the Lakers 2018 Lottery pick that would have transferred if it landed 2 – 5
W/ Center being Boston’s only real weak spot & w/ Al Horford turning 33 next year if that Lakers pick had landed in that 2 – 5 range w/ the 2018 Draft being So deep in High Quality young Big man prospects that would have gotten Real Ugfly real fast for Bryan Colangelo in Phila
Imagine if in addition to Tatum for Fultz the Celtics had also gotten Marvin Bagley or Mich St’s Center J. Jackson!
Or the Worst case scenario Boston lands the Lakers pick at #2 overall & Doncic goes #1 & the Celtics get Ayton! And they have him on a 4 year Rookie deal! AHAHAHAHAHAHA
We would have seen Phila fans stroking out in real time LOLZ

220ParticipantYou’re right about that. If the Celtics got the second or third pick in this draft thanks to the Sixers, their fans would be cursing Bryan Colangelo. As things stand the Sixers still have a chance this trade can look reasonable. It partially depends on Markelle Fultz looking like a player worthy of being #1 overall, but it also depends on what happens with the Kings pick next year. If it goes #1 overall or if the Kings get significantly better then it won’t burn as much. If it goes #1 overall the Celtics would get the Sixers pick which looks likely to be in the 20s. That’s undoubtedly the dream scenario for the 76ers right now.

HitsterParticipantBoston will potentially have Kyrie to renew in 2019 but Horford expires then and a good mutual deal would be he resigns but for a lesser amount as he will be 33 then.
Boston are a powerhouse team and with the play off revenue and TV deals can afford some luxury tax.

RioRepParticipantdepend upon who they can end up picking. If they can land a bona fide new superstar they will go for it in order to secure some probable dinasty.
But I can see Ainge sending this pick along with others first rounder to some rebuliding team for a sure thing veteran or budding star, or even maybe the Knicks for Porzingis… Hard to see this happening with the Pels and Anthony Davis after the run they had in this year’s playoffs…
