valentinesince the hoyas are getting blown out i figured i would start watching this game. i noticed that when melo decides to work hard on d and lebron isnt hitting his jumper he has a hard time ( hard compared to other guys checking him) going past or through melo because melo is very strong. not saying he can stop him because no one can stop him but its pretty interesting from watching there past games. j.j hickson has a niccceee dunk earlier on nene even though nene didnt jump. but still the rules of the street say if youre in the picture you got dunked on..lol

BiggysmallsParticipantIs Jamison playing at all? I would imagine he’s probably playing minimal minutes if any at all.
It seems like the Nuggets are really flying under the radar this year, I never hear anything about them…yet they are still a top 3 team in the West.

JNixonParticipantLebron James is an unbelievable player. Like, cherish every moment he’s in the NBA good.
Carmelo is showing that he’s one of the top 3 scorers in the game. If you think Durant is as good a pure scorer right now as Melo your truly mistaken

quinceyhodgesyeah they are pretty good. its because they were winning like this last year but still couldnt take the lakers plus the lakers have a 6 game lead on them. man melo and bron are going at it. i see nothing has changed, neither can check each other

llperezhow was that a foul on nene? He was moving backwards and took it square in the chest. That should have been a no call

quinceyhodgesnuggest get the win.. thanks nuggest that hels the lakers get closer to the cavs. man that was a battle.. melo giving it to bron then bron giving it right back to melo.

llperezthat was a lot of fun to watch. Melo played HUGE. Bron had a great game, but missed 3 3’s in the last minute

IndianaBasketballParticipantMelo is the man… I think he’s a top five player. He’s unguardable and he’s becoming a clutch player. Two things I said, which are the reasons I think he’s better than Durant right now.

Cusemen727ParticipantTo me Melo is the most clutch player in the league and no I didnt forget Kobe was still in the league, not taking anything away from Kobe, guy is clutch no doubt, but Melo is just as good if not better at hitting them game winners IMO.

quinceyhodgesnow youre tirpping.. melo is good but he is not the most clutch player in the nba.

Michael.S.ParticipantI am surprised at how weak Clevlands d was this game, mainly interior d. Denver was strait bullying them Denver is one dirty ball club too
,,,,,,,,,Lerbon was very very clutch thiis game…he sinlge handledly forced the ot with multiple plays on MELO…..DRIVING BY HIM AND FINISHING INCRUNCH TIME CAN’T MAKE EVERY ONE THOUGH. ALSO YOU LAKERS FANS BE HAPPY FOR NOW BUT BOSTON ISN’T EASY TO BEAT EITHER…SHOULD BE A TOUGH GAME FOR LA WITHOUT KOBEClevland almost won with a messed up mo will….no antawan jamison…no z….and delontes first game back,,,,and they played like shiiitttt
Sorry for my grammar…using my phone

FastAndFuriousParticipantMan Lebron is absurd seriously dude had 43 pts 15 assist and 13 rebounds mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn no one can see him man this is his league right now o and 4 blocked shots
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/18/2010 - 6:43pm #258125
Cusemen727ParticipantObviously i may be a little bit biased cuz Melo is my dude, and im assuming your gonna put kobe number 1, and i really cant argue with that, kobe is a beast and i wouldnt mind him taking the last shot of any game, buttttt Melo does have the 3rd most game winners since entering the league behind only kobe and ray allen with only half the attempts those other 2 guys got, so you may not want to put him number 1 but hes damn close.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/18/2010 - 6:51pm #258129
quinceyhodgesso what has he done for you to consider him one of the most clutch players?..because clutch means hitting big shots and game winners..horry jordan, miller, billups, bird. i think he will get there but isnt there yet. also a big melo fan
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/18/2010 - 6:54pm #258134

llperezmelo has hit a number of cluth shots and he has the ability to get to the basket or get a good look at will. He’s in the argument for most clutch of today, but i still gotta go with kobe.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/18/2010 - 6:56pm #258135
quinceyhodgesi dont recall him hitting a bunch of clutch shots..like the kobe’s and billups…or even lebron
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/18/2010 - 7:09pm #258137
Michael.S.ParticipantI’m with quincey on this one….he has hit a decent number of game winners …BUT he has only made 1 or 2 in the playoffs..and one was wide open…he needs to get that stacked denver team to the finals first to put him up there with kobe and lebron
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/18/2010 - 7:43pm #258142
Cusemen727ParticipantQuincey I wasnt talking about all time, just current, carmelo has the highest FG% of game winners since entering the league in 2003, by a long shot with a .481 the next closest in the top ten made is Ray Allen with a .379, and mike, as far as Melo not gettin his team to the finals, well, he has played in the west his entire career, and his teams havent been all that great until they got chauncey, melo himself put the entire team on his back from the day he got drafted til the time they got chauncey, hes made the playoffs all but one year i believe, thats not too shabby.

NYK2010ParticipantGreat game both Mello and Lebron against each other was fun to watch.
The spin move Carmello put on Lebron than the difficult finish was special.
Only knock on Lebron tonite was he took too many 3’s and he should’ve closed in on Mello a lil more maybe.Nuggets play smart like this they have a good shot to win it all, they had only 5 turnovers in 53 mins.
They won despite Billups having a 7-20 shooting night too.
They really could use another big outside of Nene they don’t have a guy with a lot of size.
Birdman is tall but he was getting pushed around inside too easily against Shaq, Bynum the weight diff. is huge.
A guy like Foster or another big would’ve been huge for them.0 - Posted on: Fri, 02/19/2010 - 4:27am #258175

JNixonParticipantIf I needed a basket in the last seconds to win the game, these are the only guys I’d let take it over Melo:
Kobe
Dwyane Wade
Brandon Roy
Ray Allen
Lebron0 - AuthorPosts
