boshjonesfordParticipantAccording to ESPNs Chad Ford.
Wouldnt surprise me, they did take thristan thompson with the 4th last year.
Im high on lamb and would want my team to take him if he is avilable at 8th. He can shoot has a monster wingspan (7-1) and one of the underrated parts of his game is how he moves without the ball, making the oppent work harder on the defensive end (this limits the defenisve players offensive ablity and is one those little things that dont show up on the stats sheet)
what are your thoughts on Lamb in comparison to Beal? (who do you think will end up being the better player?)

DolanCareParticipantLamb’s attitude during his Sophmore season was very telling to his future role in the league. He will never be a leader, and I’m sure there will always be questions on his committment and drive. That being said, he has all of the tools to be 2nd scoring option for his whole career. He shoots with a quick release, and has ideal athleticism and length for a SG. Those tools alone will separate him, and keep him as a threat.
Beal is a great prospect, but he will have a tough time separating himself with the rest of the SG in the league. Coaches will love his all-around game, and discplined approach, but his ceiling is just so much lower than Lamb’s IMO. And it all boils down to size and athleticism. I hate it when ppl just look at physical tools and forget about the mental aspect, but I’m gonna do just that for this comparison.

I think that Bradley Beal will be better because I believe he is the better ‘team player’. Both are incredible talents who can do a lot on the court, but guys like Nick Young and JR Smith can both say the same thing. What is the biggest knock on both of them? Anyway, I remember UConn’s run to the championship and how much they had Lamb coming off of screens hitting baseline jumpers like Rip Hamilton; I think if a team can implement him into their offense the right way he can become as good as Beal. Doubting it at the moment.

phila9012ParticipantA long as he isn’t leading your team he would be a good fit with you. Cleveland have Kyrie, so it wouldn’t be a bad fit if he went there

AKOOParticipantAttitude and personality are different things. Lamb may not have the personality to be a vocal leader but I saw nothing to suggest he has any type of bad attitude problem.

Memphis MadnessParticipantKemba and Lamb were great together on UConn. Maybe Charlotte trades down and takes Jeremy Lamb.
There is a lot of speculation right now on the number 2 pick, but I would bet that they are taking offers on it.
I think he would be pretty good with the Cavs. He is a prototype shooting guard. He and Kyrie would lock down Cleveland’s backcourt for the next 10 years. After that they need the frontcourt players to develop (TT) and have a few more good drafts. But I do like the Irving and Lamb backcourt.
The Cavs might be in a good position given that Lamb should be there as well as Harrison Barnes. MKG, T Rob, or Drummond could also be there. If they go with Lamb then they would have a promising perimeter attack. Then next year they can add a big player to go along with them and Tristan Thompson. Perhaps Cody Zeller at the 5, Nerlens Noel at the 5, or James McAdoo at the 4 or 3. If they have a mid-lotto pick then they could go after someone like Adonis Thomas. So by the end of next year they should have a solid young core in place.

aamir543ParticipantWell, I believe that if Beal is there they should definatly take him, between MKG, Drummond, and Beal, one of them will be there at 4. If Charlotte or Wash falls in love with Drummond during workouts, than they should take MKG or Beal, but I honestly think that they should take Drummond if he is there. At this point you’re at the 4th pick, you have a future star at the point, Drummond won’t have an immediate impact, which means they could still be in the hunt for another high pick next year. I know Drummond had a down year but I’m still high on his potential for the future, but I don’t think that he should go before MKG or Beal.

r377ParticipantI think Lamb is an excellent prospect who could end up being in the top 3 players taken from this draft.
Would be a deadly backcourt with Wall in Washington or Irving in Cleveland.
Personally I would love to see him slide down to the pistons (unlikely). Knight and Lamb, with stuckey off the bench would be nice.

Sewok15ParticipantI would to see Lamb back with Kemba. I doubt they would ever capture the magic they had in 2011 again but it would at least make Charlotte a little more interesting.

PulseGlazerParticipantI like the way Beal’s game complements Kyrie better than Lamb, but Lamb is particularly intriguing next to Wall.
