In this mock draft, Joel Embiid goes #1 to the Bucks. The Magic reach for Noah Vonleh as he fits perfectly next to Vucevic and the Utah Jazz trade up for Jabari Parker, who ends up falling to the #4 pick.

    Thoughts?

i would say vonleh at #3 is a stretch.  magic are in dier need of a pg or best available.  parker would be my choice because they play tobias harris at pf anyways.

i would say denver is not taking a pg because they have lawson.  i think they target a sg like harris or lavine.

mcdermott and cauley-stein are pretty high.  if orlando goes parker, i think they go after a pg at 13.

i would say napier is pretty high here too.  james young is pretty high on my board too because of lack of shooting wings and could pass as a sf.

    interesting mock though.

Sorry dude, but this might be one of the worst mocks I’ve ever seen.

#1 IF the bucks get number 1 why would they take Joel when they have Larry Sanders? new fat contract he will be hard to trade

#3-no way he goes that high

#6 I don’t think this is a "match made in heaven" they need a PF to complement Cousins not Marcus Smart, another shooter or maybe even a PG who is more of a distributor

#8 why would denver draft a PG??? They have Ty Lawson

#9 Boston would not trade down and pass on Jabari Parker for Juluis Randle, when the already have Jared Sully and they need a SF bad, horrible.

#10 Bobcats need scoring, they have Al and Cody, no need for WCS

Jabari Parker for the 7,23,2015 first rounder(almost certainly lottery) and Rudy Gobert….NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.

Especially if Julius Randle is there at 7.

Julius Randle, 23rd pick, 2015 first rounder and Rudy Gobert>>>>>Jabari Parker

Its not that I agree with it, but nice to see someone thinking outside the square.

Too many people on this site take the mock drafts by the experts as Gospel. But we all know that teams reach, college stars stay a year longer and red flags pop up that discourages a team (eg Nerlens Noels injury). Plus some teams are notoriously bad at drafting or have a brainfreeze and just F*** it up.

People always say draft for talent, and not for need. Then they use the example of the 1 breakout player who gets drafted late as the example of why this should be the case. In my opinion, drafting for talent means predicting a lot of future development, which is inherently risky itself. I have no problem with this strategy, as long as you’re prepared to wear the consequences if it doesn’t work.

I give you credit for trying, and using some justification behind your decision. If the haters don’t agree, lets see how close their mocks are.

WCS is too high. He isn’t even starting for his team right now.. Also, him and Wayne Selden over Rodney Hood just doesn’t make sense. Selden has been struggling and underperforming all season. And Jordan Clarkson is a combo forward?? I think you meant to say combo guard.

is absolutely ridiculous. There is literally no chance of that happening. That being said, I actually kinda like most of the rest of your mock.

If the Magic picked Selden with their WONK pick AFTER choosing Vonleh, I would kill myself. I apologize for being hyperbolic, but that would be just the worst.
