After watching West Virginia’s last 2 games, it is apparent that they have a new potential breakout player. Casey Mitchell, a player in Coach Huggins’ doghouse for most of last season, is about 6’5 215 or so, and he has a very smooth jump shot to go along with a sturdy frame. Watching him play, he plays alot like Da’Sean Butler did for WVU. He’s not very quick, fast, or athletic, and he’s not a creative player off the bounce, but he looks really good moving off screens or spotting up. He might be a prospect down the line, and he looks like the MIP in the Big East so far this year.

I like him but the guy isnt an NBA guy… Also, he isnt 6’5.. I have played with him numerous times and I am only 6′ tall.. He is prolly 6’3 at best… Guy can shoot but he doesnt have what it takes to play at the next level and he is super streaky… If he can average close to 20 a game he will get a lot of credit and a look because of Huggins… Lets see him play some more… I love to see WVU players getting some love in the threads..

Man, I loved watching this guy off the bench last season. He can flat out shoot the ball. He also had a nice fauxhawk last season!

Yeah i’ve been next to him and hes not 6’5. Very nice jumper though. Moreover, he seems to have serious confidence so we’ll see the kind of year he can have.

im a huge wvu fan so it is nice too see sum love c mitch i cant figure out why wvu players cant make it in the nba joe alexander is a freakish athlete but didnt make it gansey baffles me as well he can play both guard positions very high basketball iq but nothing and big ol pittsnogle true he cant play d but wiht as bad as the c position is in the nba shocks me that he didnt make it simply because of how well he can shoot it from the outside
