Appaerently there have been reports that Carmelo to the Nets is a done deal. All they need is for him to accept the contract extension to the Nets and it’s done. If this is true, I find this really dumb. Why would Carmelo leave A better Nuggets team, to go to an even worse Nets team and even when they go to Brooklyn, they’ll still be second to the Knicks. I wanna know what your guys’ thoughts on this are, cause imo, this isn’t a good situation for Carmelo.

I think it is all rumors but NJ is willing to give Denver the best deal so they are looking at it but I doubt Melo accepts.

yeah, several media outlets say its a done deal…but a tv station in denver said the nuggets told them there was no deal…reports were premature becuz many thought after the nets got those 2 1st round picks ,denver had finished the deal..

they say the deal in complete but melo hasnt agreed to sign an extension with the nets…and melo hasnt agreed to it..

Now I don’t know who leaked out the fact that he doesn’t want to sign the extention, or the stuff about him only signing an extention if he is sent to NY. Melo has been playing through the controversy about being the top free agent next year, and he’s declined to say anything. He want to be a free agent, thats all we know. Everything else is conjecture.
