It was announced today he will miss the rest of the season with the leg injury he has been nursing.

This really doesn’t look good for him.  Injuries last year and this year – both in the legs – have to diminish his stock and, honestly, his long term potential.

Darn shame if that is the case.

Yea. It is a shame and I’m still not sure exactly what the injury is. It’s obviously taking longer than anticipated to heal though.

There is probably a good chance he slides to the second round with the injury concerns but he could potentially be a steal for some team if that’s the case. I hope he makes a full recovery and this isn’t something that continues to plague him throughout his career. Im still a huge fan of his versatility and playmaking ability when healthy.

He’s absolute steal in the 2nd round.

talent wise he’s a lottery pick…he has the size, length, smarts, stroke and can create for himself and teammates..reminds me of rolando blackman a 4 time all star with the mavs in the 80s…

levert’s medical records will weigh on where he gets drafted…

Lavert has lottery talent, but there is no way he is going in the lottery, so already he’s a steal. With a poor medical review before draft, he could easily fall to the 2nd round.

If you are a GM and see Lavert in the 2nd round, it is a no brainer to take him.

If he pans out: He will be a rotation player for you almost immediately and the GM can talk himself up about his draft day steal.

If he doesn’t pan out: GM can talk about how he only used a 2nd rounder on him and that his talent was worth the gamble. (This could be applied to late 1st round picks too)

It’s a win-win situation for GMs to select him now.

Big time shame on a lot of levels.

LeVert looked like at times, the best player on the floor for Michigan two years ago when they went to the Elite 8. I know Stauskas was "the man" for that team, but LeVert had some big time moments.

Its also a bummer for this Michigan team. With him, they would be good enough to get to the second weekend of the NCAA Tournament. Without him, I doubt they even make the tournament.

If he can somehow get healthy, he could be a big steal in the draft though. He’ll probably get picked somewhere in the 25-40 range and he could be an impact guy for sure … if he can get healthy.

I’ve been high on Caris Levert for a couple of years now.  I think he is a mid-lottery to upper-lottery level talent.  I have a really hard time seeing him in the 2nd round, but it really depends on what his injury is.  It really is a shame that he is injured again.  I think he will translate extremely well to the NBA talent and skill-wise.  Hopefully this is not something serious, and he recovers in time for draft workouts.  So bummed for this kid.  I really like his game.

Guy is injury prone – red flags are out. A pity as he is skilled.

I think maybe he falls to second round – maybe a contender might take him last few picks of the first round.

Often injury prone transfer into the pros. They played 82 games with more minutes in the pros which is going to take its toll on the body even more than playing in college…..
