Flameres15ParticipantPacers: The Pacers do this because they get younger and add vital pieces to a team ready to contend, when Paul George returns. They get Lance Stephenson back, from his vacation in NC, Reggie Jackson (a key piece to a contending team, and a better point guard than George Hill). Vonleh hasn’t had much time to develop, and the Pacers are the king of developing players.
Nets: This is all about cap flexibility, and adding Jeremy Lamb doesn’t hurt. They rid themselves of Brook Lopez’s huge contract and prepare for the future. I wanted to add Joe Johnson going to the Hornets, but that became too crowded.
Hornets: The Hornets get a reliable big man in David West and a scoring C.J. Miles. West is the biggest piece that makes it worth it, while also getting rid of unproductive players in their lineup.
Thunder: The Thunder get Brook Lopez. I don’t like the idea of them trying to trade to become a better team, but if they want Lopez, why not get him this way. They lose Reggie Jackson, but get Rodney Stuckey to replace him.

tblazer_NZParticipantBreaking down this trade I see that this really is two/three seperate trades put together. This wouldn’t work because…
Brook is worth more than Perkins(exp), Lamb and end of bench back up in Ish Smith. Billy King is an idiot with trades but that might be even behond his idiocity. That wouldn’t save them anywhere near enough money to even consider.
You would be essentially trading Reggie Jackson for Rodney Stuckey. Where do I even begin with that….
I don’t think Indy would want Stephenson back especially at the cost of their veteran leader David West.
