QuickPostAParticipantI just finished watching the Tivo-ed 1st half of the CHI game and everytime I watch the Bulls they are great with Rose and Boozer out there but there isnt a single other player on the roster who can create scoring opportunities for themselves (Hear that, Deng?!?)……….They’re shallow amount of offensive weaponry is going to plague them until a deal is made……not to mention making me as nervous as hell that Rose or Boozer might go down with an injury…….
Noah is a great player and the heart of the defense (and the team) but I still think it would serve the Bulls best to package him in a proposal to Denver for Anthony….
And yes I will continue saying this well after Anthony has (gone to/been traded to) NY and signed his extension….
…hey a guy can dream.

BKKnicksfanParticipantIf I’m Chicago:
Move Deng, Keep Noah.
Noah is a player I want on my roster. He’s not worth Melo IMO. Noah is a player that could seperate mid playoff teams to top 3 playoff teams.
Deng however, I feel just swap him for Iggy and maybe get a guy in FA and your good.

HaleParticipantA little off topic but Rose is 3/5 from deep, thus improvng his 3pt % even more. How much can you improve your jump shot in one offseason???

Im Your FatherParticipantNoah is incredibly overrated on this board. I’d trade him for Melo without pausing to think twice.

apb540ParticipantI don’t understand this trade idea at all. As a Sixers fan, I would rather keep Iggy cuz he is a better bball player and Deng is not our answer as a #1 scorer (which we desperately need.) Plus we suck and Iggy gives at least one highlight reel dunk per game which makes it more worth watching haha

SteroidParticipantThe bulls do not have a guy that can get any shot he wants. Every top team has that guy. Rose is an awesome player who can get to the hole at will, and his jump shot is good enough to make teams pay when they back off, but he isn’t a complete scorer at this point right now. He will only carry this team so far in the playoffs. Boozer is a great complimentary player, but he is just a legit 3rd option on a championship team as well as Deng. It would be hard to call those guys a legit second option when you have guys on championship caliber teams with second options like Wade/LeBron?, Ginobli, Gasol, and Ray (I could see him taking the last shot over KG IF Paul wouldn’t). I really believe Rose wants to be clear cut #1 option in Chicago, and the front office is respecting that, but as long as the Heat, Magic, and Celtics are around, they will have a hard time with this core group of players in the playoffs unless rose goes crazy in the playoffs.

DanEboyParticipantHow is Rose not a complete scorer? He can get to the hole at will, his mid range game is money, and he is shooting over 40% from 3.
Explain that to me steroid…

SteroidParticipantHe’s improved like I said, but he still has a lot to prove, which is why I believe he solely wants to be the number one option. When I talk about playoff teams, I judge the Bulls in comparison to the teams that have been their and done what they are still attempting to do, and there are holes in their team compared to other championship material teams. Rose very well could cary the main scoring load offensively, but I’m not so sure if that will be good enough in playoff ball. And no, I don’t think Rose is a scorer like Carmelo, which is complete scorer in my mind and someone this team could use. Rose has better stats than Melo right now, but I wouldn’t say that he is a better scorer. It’s too early to be talking about stats in a Marathon season where players go on slumps just as much as they get hot. Lets talk about stats at the end of the season.

Moon RiverParticipantI am a huge Bulls fan and I cannot make up my mind on the Melo/Noah thing. If Paxson would include Noah and the Bulls #1 (the Charlotte pick) and ancilary players to make the salaries work that deal is done yesterday.
The problem is the two headed GM that is Paxson and Garr (especially Paxson) will not deal Noah. Paxson stuck his neck out and drafted Noah when many people were luke warm on him (at best). Other than Gibson and Noah, Pax’s draft record is not all that exciting and he is hanging his hat on those picks. I am not including Rose in that discussion, because my two year old would have made that pick.
So, while I cannot make up my mind on the Melo trade. I don’t have to, because Pax has already done it for me. Pax is too conservative to make the move for Melo.

joecheck88Participantno, chicago needs noah. you have to play some defense. melo will play almost no defense. melo would be a good fit on a better defensive team(like orlando). deng atleast gives effort and so does noah. i think iggy would be a better player for this team than deng but there is almost no way to get him(chicago doesnt have anyone philly wants). i think the bulls should give this roster their shot, this year. honestly, rose boozer and deng as your 1 2 and 3 options is very solid and with great role players like brewer, korver, noah and gibson, this team can make noise in the playoffs.
