Neville15ParticipantAlthough Canada did not qualify for the Olympics this year I see them really turning their program around in the years to come due to a huge influx of college and NBA talent. Ranked 24th in the FIBA ratings is somewhat of a disappointment for Canada with the creator of the game Dr James Naismith hailing from north of the border. While the FIBA rankings can’t be seen as saying too much it mustn’t be a good feeling seeing Canada ranked below countries such as Venezuela, Lebanon and… Iran? Hey, I don’t think Hamed Haddadi is THAT good.
It would be nice though to see this crop of young Canadian talent step up and represent their nation to restore their standing in the basketball world. Just think of a team including names such as:
Joel Anthony
Tristan Thompson
Cory Joseph
Kris Joseph
Andrew Nicholson
Kyle Wiltjer
Robert Sacre
Kevin Pangos
The Bhullar brothers
Khem Birch
Anthony Bennett
Myck Kabongo
And the guy I’m most excited about – Andrew Wiggins
What do you think of the potential of a team with these players? Surely they would at least be able to compete with many of the European powers. I’m not about to say that they would upstage Team USA but hey, there is a heap of potential there and I’m sure I’ve missed some names

ChewyParticipantI have no clue how he would manage on their National Men’s Team, but I love watching him at Gonzaga. Smart solid PG who has a great shot. The next in the great line of white zags point guards.

llperezdwight powell of stanford. Hes a pf for the cardinal who is going into his junior season. He averaged just 8 and 5 last year and wasnt overly impressive, but the guy is a 6-10 big with good face the basket skills but soft. This site had him briefly ranked as a top 5 pick not long ago and draftexpress has him on their radar as well. Hes defenitely one to keep an eye next year to see if he shows improvement. Hes from toronto.

Cavaliers420ParticipantTristian Thompson imo is going to do Canadian basketball players proud. His ceiling is really high right now and he’s still only entering his sophmore year.

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantThe Bhullar brothers seem like stiffs to me. Trey Lyles looks to be the real deal though. Interested in seeing how Birch plays in college.
