qDizzle32ParticipantHow many prospects could Canada drafted in this draft? In my mock as of right now, I have 6 and by my knowledge, that would be the most players from one country other than the US to be selected in the same draft since the NBA began only having two rounds.
I currently have Andrew Wiggins, Tyler Ennis, Nik Stauskas, Khem Birch, Melvin Ejim and Dwight Powell in my mock. There will also be Sim Bhullar and Jordan Bachiynski who also have a chance of getting picked somewhere. The Canadians continue to keep having more and more prospects every year as they are becoming closer to being Team USA’s rival in International Competition.

Rip255I agree, they do seem to be producing a steady flow of Top Prospects. I don’t live in the same region so wouldn’t know…but is it possible that Basketball could take over Hockey as the #1 sport in Canada?

OhCanada-ParticipantIn the inner city and more populated areas it is quite possible. But having traveled all across Ontario I know for a fact outside of Toronto and maybe Ottawa there is no way basketball overtakes hockey. I wish it would but hockey is a complete staple in peoples lives in the smaller towns. Some small towns in Ontario dont even have a grocery store yet they have a hockey arena.

OhCanada-ParticipantIn your mock I see Khem Birch at #50. I see him as a better prospect than Powell or Ejim. Remember scouts were crazy about him out of highschool and even being compared to Kenyon Martin. He is still extremely athletic, a good defensive player and good rebounder. If he can sell teams that he can hit the mid range jumpshot in the pros I dont see why he doesnt get picked early in the second.

IhateusernamesParticipantWhat the hell was Dave Rice doing at UNLV last year? Just curious. Seems like a lot of NBA talent on that team to not be in the tournament

Bigs- Lyles, Thompson, Olynick, Nicholson, Birch, Bachiynsky, Wiltjer
Forwards – Wiggins, Bennett, Powell, Joseph, Murray
Guards – Stauskas, Ennis, Eljim, Hanlen, Pangos, Joseph, Haslip
Im sure im missing a few
