GreenLanternParticipantA LOT of people don’t like Mike Conley on this site for some reason. I find this REALLY REALLY odd. Conley is doing an excellent job as the Grizz’ starting point this season and has picked up where he left off at the end of last season. He is distributing the ball really well, as evidenced by the fact that Memphis has an astonishing FOUR players averaging at least 15 points or more! Conley is shooting good percentages from the field although I would like his overall percentage to be a little better, although this is partly due to the fact that a lot of his shots come with the shot clock winding down as a 4th or 5th option on offense. Oh yeah and did I mention Conley is only 22 years old and getting better? It’s time to get on the bandwagon.

GreenLanternParticipantWell of course Memphis isn’t going to beat any of the top seeds in either conference, that doesn’t mean Conley isn’t playing really well and shouldn’t get some love on here y’know?

Disrespect_MeParticipanthe’s a solid player
but he’s not an explosive hybrid guard
lke Rose or Evans or Jennings
he is a Derek Fisher type just solid
and sometimes thats all you need in a Point Guard
ill give him his props tho he’s getting wins

Clyde-Glide10Memphis has a “Golden State” feel to them.
I believe if they get a 7 seed…they will be a very tough out for any team who plays them.

butidonthavemoneyNot to rain on everybody’s parade, but what are the chances that Memphis makes the playoffs at all? They would have to beat three of these teams: Suns, Jazz, Rockets, Hornets and the Thunder. Not easy.

Meditated StatesParticipantNot liking what I am seeing still at this point. Not for where he was drafted. He needs to improve a lot before the season ends or it is time to get a new point guard. Yes the team is winning, but he is not playing well enough to me.

sheltwon3ParticipantHe is 22 and can run a team but he is not very consistent and dont know how good or what not he is defensively but still that only helps Grizz keep him for less than later he blows up to be a Andre Miller type point guard. Also Conley is much more athletic than Fisher.

Meditated StatesParticipantHe is strong enough to be like Miller he can”t post up other players.

grizz32ParticipantMike Conley might not be putting up the stats but I love him here. He is the floor general of a winning team, keeping the TO’s low, playing great defense, and hitting the open shot.
