There are going to be some servicable FAs this offseason at the 2 spot… Could the Bulls pick up one of these guys and who fits with them the best??

    Michael Redd
    Jason Richardson
    Jamal Crawford
    JR Smith
    Aaron Afflalo
    Delonte West
    Anthony Parker
    Rodney Stucky
    Mike Dunleavy
    Sasha Vuacic
    Roger Mason Jr.
    Sonny Weems
    Josh Howard
     Nick Young
    Maurice Evans
    Cartier Martin
    Caron Butler
    Dasean Stevenson
    Reggie Williams
    Shane Battier
    Willie Warren
    Marco Belinelli
    Daequan Cook
     Marquise Daniels
    CJ Miles

I feel like some of these guys are out of reach because of price range.. Guys like Aflallo have played their way to a big contact. Guys like Jason Richardson will get paid because of how they have played.. I do feel like the Bulls do have options here though.. Who fits the best within their price range?

In my opinion, I think the Bulls should go after Marco Bellineli. I’m saying this because he is a relatively young player and has played with Chris Paul ths year and watching him play, you can see the difference. He is hitting more shots and he is more effective than he was in Toronto. Toronto did not know how to use him properly. If he gets to play with Derrick Rose, he’ll have a chance to spread out the floor and hit consistent jump shots every night.

JR Smith, Nick Young, or Marco Belinelli would be my picks. Ever since the Gilbert Arenas trade Nick Young has been blossoming alongside John Wall that is until he got injured. Now that he’s back they’re are not even quite sure if he’ll start because Jordan Crawford came on so well. The Bulls would benefit having someone like Young. I think he’d be the best out of them all.

CJ Miles has a team option and I’m expecting the Jazz to pick it up so pretty soon he will not be a free agent.

Nick Young has really started to show the talent that everyone expected of him a couple years ago. He is consistently scoring 17 per game in just 30 minutes. JR Smith has the ability to go off any night. Take your pick, both would play well off of D-Rose.

Aaron Afflalo would fit perfectly imo. He doesnt demand the ball, hes a great 3 pt shooter and would get plenty good looks playin with rose. and his best asset is his defense. Hes been known as an excellent defender and this is why i think he fits in perfectly because chicago is a defensive minded team.

I think Afflalo would make this team near unbeatable, he’s the perfect role player at the SG spot. I’d like them to take another run at Tracy McGrady after seeing he can still play. I think a veteran is the way to go though, like Michael Redd.

Also, a tested young guy like Da’Sean Butler could be helpful. If he’s healthy now he brings a lot of experience and could be had for cheap. They need to keep cap room for Rose’s payday.

Yep, I would have to say Afflalo would be the best fit, young, a very good defender and an improving shooter. H shouldn’t cost too much either so the Bulls might be able to afford him.

I agree Afflalo is the best fit, but i also like Shane Battier. He is one of the best perimeter defenders, a veteran, and could come for less money to win a few championships. Plus he and Boozer have some history together.

They can draft Marshon Brooks he would fit perfectly and is a 4 year college player who can come in and contribute right away.

imo id go after a guy who isnt on that list wilson chandler very versitile can play the 2,3 and 4 and is a really good defender slasher and shooter and rebounder and at the sg position he would be a good defender and scorer and matchup problem and could be a young wing who could grow with rose, noah and deng

For the Bulls J Rich would be a wet dream but I could see Butler going there.  Reggie Williams however seems to be the best combination of talent and availability.  None of these players really seem out of the question for the Bulls to get, their success at a (kinda) young age will be a free agent pull.

A lot of those guys are restricted FA’s so the Bulls cannot probably go above MLE to get any of them as they are already at $60 million for next year’s cap before you factor in two first round signings and probably wanting to bring Thomas back as well. I’d love Wilson Chandler for the Bulls for example, a lot could depend on who John Paxson drafts this summer as he could draft with a view to doing an S and T for a restricted FA maybe. He could keep one draft pick and trade another and maybe a future pick if he wanted to engineer a deal.

Also when I look at mock drafts and the Bulls likely picks I see Kyle Singler and Nolan Smith two Duke Seniors jumping out at me. If John Paxson wants experienced NCAA players then there are two guys here who have had 4 years of Coach K so they will be superbly drilled and would probably fit into Coach Thib’s system fairly well. Also Kenneth Faried is in their draft range and would give them nice extra rebounding depth in the front court behind Noah, Boozer and Thomas.

to get a guy like N. Young who has offensive capabilities but could also meet Thibidou’s defensive standards. I also like the idea of waiting another yr and taking another shot at Shannon Brown and try to bring him back home.

Eh, I like Marco Bellenelli as there future SG. Arron Afflalo would be a great addition aswell also. Marco has shown that he can be a solid SG who can really shoot the ball and he would really help the Bulls.

Im a Kings fan and think that Garcia (altough not a FA) could be an excellent fit at the 2 for the Bulls. I think he would fit in with the clubhouse and is a great leadership guy, can shoot the ball, and would defend well under Thibodeau.

i’d go for affalo, although whoever mentioned battier had a great shout- can shoot the 3 and defend. another outside shot who i would definately consider is sasha vujacic- shooter, defender, and has won championships. i reckon he’d be a huge bonus, even off the bench.

I kind of like Jordan Hamilton out of the draft. I think that if he drops to the Bulls in the later part of the first round, they should pick him. He could bring some good off ball play.

Picking up Afflalo or Young would be ideal for the Bulls but I think the biggest problem there would be money. Afflalo will want to get paid because of his play recently. He’s definitely proved himself as a great role player and a great defender. I think it will be hard to get him or Young for a relatively small price. Young would be great on that team on the OFFENSIVE end but he would need to take some extra practice for his defensive game in order to fit in (and most likely start) on the Bulls team.

I think it would be best for them to get a shooting guard from the draft. Because even though it is weaker this year, there could be a valuable sleeper pick they could find. I like their chances to get a good player or couple of players in this draft. I honestly hope they can get Kenneth Faried becasue that’d be like having two Joekim Noah’s on that team. That could be dangerous come playoff time.

I would like to think the Pacers will get either Young, Stuckey, Afflalo or Smith to fill their 2 guard spot. So I can see there being a bit of competition for these guys.

Nick Young would be a nice role player off the bench for the Bulls, but as a starter? No. Nick Young scores 17ppg, which is good, but takes about 15 shots per game to get those pts. The Bulls would want a player to be a 3rd or 4th option behind Rose, Boozer(when healthy), and maybe MAYBE Deng.

Arron Afflalo would be a nice fit as a starter because of his defense and efficient scoring(almost 50% from the field 43% from 3pt), however he probably will not be available because he has a team option this year, which the Nuggets will most likely pick up.

Yes Nick Young averages 17ppg but he has been scoring 22-24ppg since taking those 15 shots a game. The reason it is only at 17ppg is he started the season slow.

yeah JR Smith has to get out of Denver

he only averages 25 minutes a game, even after the carmelo trade

he is definetly the most underrated he scorer in the NBA

Bulls seems like a decent spot for him to go

I’d guess that Denver will not renew both Affalo and JR Smith so Chicago may get a shot at one of them. Smith has had a few attitude issues but getting him onto a team like Chicago could bring the besr out of him perhaps.

With Rip Hamilton having issues in Detroit then I wonder if Chicago might take a look at him, he has two hefty years left on the deal but if Detroit do want him out then Chicago could come away with extra assets perhaps. Rip would be an especially great option if he was brought out by Detroit.
