knicksfreakParticipantDespite Walsh’s denial, league sources say that Walsh is entertaing a 3-way deal that would ship out Lee to Portland and Q to LAC and get back Camby and Frye. This trade would add much needed shot-blocking and interior defense. Both players are listed at 6’11” also giving the knicks a tall mobile frontcourt. This would be a great trade if we arent planning on retaining Lee and we can get rid of a rapidly deteriorating player in Q.

ucantcheckmejdj3Participantwouldn’t be a bad trade for NY, although Camby probably only has a year or two left

RicoParticipantWhy would the Clippers do that?

meisi4Participantthe question is why the clippers would do that? the trade isn´t in their favor i agree but honestly were talking about the clips. the clips who last year took randolph (a player nobody wanted) and who took olowokandi with the first pick just to give you two examples…
the only good thing for the clips would be to free some minutes for blake griffin although it would be better to get rid of randolph to do that… but again were talking about the clippers so don´t expect to much cleverness….

NYKnicksuperFanParticipantIve been saying for a while that Camby would end his career in The Garden. Frye would be good since hes big and athletic a perfect PF in their offense, he was never bad but the players taken after him ( Bynum, etc…) were better

gatorheelsParticipantIf I were the Knicks I would rather just keep David Lee. However, if the Knicks feel like there is no way to keep him then a sign & trade would be smart. Frye & Camby will certainly help the Knicks with interior length and defense but I don’t see them being major factors as far as getting New York to the playoffs.

ctw724ParticipantThis could be a sign that Camby is on his way out of town. I’m saying this in jest, but with the belief it will happen.

Knicksboy34ParticipantI would love the deal more if we can get Sergio Rodriguez from Portland as well.
This is a solid deal for NYC. I think Frye leaving was a mistake. I remember he had a couple 30pt games and he could block really well. I hope Camby can still be a force. NYC makes moves…LBJ is next!!!

cp5ParticipantIf the magic had a pick who should they have picked?
I believe they should have went after a player that resembles lewis/hedo like an earl clark or james johnson.

Knicksboy34Participantwhat are you talking about? This has nothing to do with the magic….
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/21/2009 - 10:55am #169772

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantThis would be a good deal for the Knicks but I don’t see why you keep thinking LBJ will come to NY. NY sucks at defense and we all know defense doesn’t win championship and thats on top of Lebron’s to do list. He probably going to get a bigger contract if he stays in Cleveland. Plus China investors just bought the Cavs or something which has a much bigger market than NY.

Knicksboy34ParticipantUm no. Lebron made Cleveland a better Defensive team. He could go to NY if we add the 5th and 8th pick. Hill and Holiday (those are the 2 players who i think they would draft with both picks) can help LBJ come to NY. He needs to win a title or LBJ will be going to be a FA in 2010. With Boston getting back to health and Orlando most likely keeping Hedo, Cleveland wont win a title…..unless they make a big move (and im not talking Shaq)

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantWhat makes you think NY is a playoff team? LA would kill NY in a finals series. Lebron has better chance elsewhere to win titles than NY. NY has potential I give you that. But potential is not good enough. LeBron needs the talents right now. I do think you guys might get Bosh or Amare and maybe Gay.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/21/2009 - 4:44pm #170017

Knicksboy34ParticipantI never said that. Yea now they would with current rosters and true LBJ has better chances to win a title somewhere else now but your’e missing the point. NY will add Lebron LAST. He is not dumb. IF he becomes a FA in 2010, he will be the LAST one to sign. NY has a good chance to get him because he can be True NBA eastern superstar in the biggest NBA city on the East Coast (why do u think the NBA store and the big office is here?)
NY will have 4 players under contract in 2010 so they will be able to throw money out for any FA they want. If they add a #2 option (Bosh) they will be in the running for LeBron James.
Oh yea, What if LBJ calls Roy and says come to NY as my wingman?

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantThat would piss me off lol. Yeah I understand your point but why be the biggest eastern superstar when you can be the biggest global star with China since Chinese investors bought part of the Cavs or something.

knicksfreakParticipantCamby is only 34.

ezmoney707ParticipantLink?…is this just a word of mouth?…Also there are reports that the blazers don’t want to waste cap room on David and would be redundant of a move. They rather save that cap room to sign Hedo.
