After watching the clip that was posted earlier on him, I had to go back to his player profile to see where Aran had him…….Mike Dunleavy/AK47 is an understatement of his play & I’m so serious!

I crown him the King of Europe! Dude is the Euro version of LeBron! Anything less then that is just a joke about how he DOMINATES! I have never seen a Euro play the way he does.

I liked him, then i read his interview and now I really like him, Him saying how good he will be in the nba will depend on him shows a level of maturity and and also kept saying how he has to work hard, I like dwhat i was hearing from him and wish him the best of luck in the nba

@Asdf, I agree what you are saying, but anyone can say that. When your teacher asks you why your grades are slipping, you dont say becuase i was on nbadraft, net instead of doing my homework or studying. You say you studyed all night but you just didn’t get the topic, and that you will try harder next time. Anyone can BS anything. Just watch presidential devates. No one ever answers the question. They go round and round without ever telling you the truth.

How do you know he dominates if you’ve only seen highlights of him play? Highlights only show the good things, not the bad. You can watch a highlight video of Brian Scalabrine and think he’s an all-star.

Scalabrine isn’t an all-star?! When did this happen?!

Luol Deng type slashing ability mixed in with Josh Smith/Lebron James athletisicm.

The thing I hope he carries over most is his defensive ability, he can honestly guard any position and that will be his most valuable asset in my eyes.

Don’t know much of his game, but based on what I’ve read and seen thus far, AK47 seems about right. Don’t know if he’s as skilled as a Dunleavy though, and the shooter that Dunleavy was coming out.

Yea IMO Tom Chambers is about as close as you’re going to come.  He’s kind of an original though, his own breed.  His combo of size and athleticism/body control hasn’t really been witnessed yet in the NBA, especially from a Euro player.  He plays with intensity and wants to throw it down whenever he has the opportunity which you have to love from a young and developing prospect.  Considering his ability to play D, combined with his improving offensive game, it is a travesty if he doesn’t go top 5 IMO, 6 at the latest.

Whoever drafts him is going to have something special for the future.  He’s my favorite Euro prospect of all-time.

Your right anyone can say that, but now its on record so if he becomes a flop its his fault, also they’re were some pretty bad interviews so appartently NOT EVERYONE can bs one

Why do we always have to compare players by their skin color…because he’s white he has to be Mike Dunleavy or AK-47, Tom Chambers…? He’s far from a Lebron James in terms of skill level, and I agree with the AK-47 comparison but he looks more like more like Anthony Randolph to me.

Larry Nance… Go to youtube and search a highlight reel of him in game, not just the dunk contest

If you ever watched highlights of Tom Chambers you would know that the comparison is not merely based on the color of their skin.  But IMO the AK-47 and Mike Dunleavy comparisons are ludacris.

Some crazy comments and comparisons on this thread.  Can’t judge a Euro player by a highlight tape.  Hell, tough to judge one even by watching an entire game.  And I won’t even waste your time with a comparison right now cuz I can’t find one.  Unique player.

Chambers actually had a jump shot and could hit his free throws. Vesely has not even hinted he can do this yet. Any team drafting Jan expecting to get Chambers is going to be sadly dissapointed, lol, so lets stick to raw athletes like Anthony Randolph when making comparisons.

^thank you…according to this sites rating system Vesely and Randolph are very similar in almost every single category and they also play the same position (SF/PF) and have close to the same body type (6’11", long and lanky).

…but because he’s white people have to compare him to Dunleavy and Chambers…

I’m gonna say it one more time, I say at full potential Larry Nance…. People remember Nance just for his dunking but he was much better than just a dunker. Vesely at his celing I see getting about 18pts 8rb 3ast 1.5 stl 1.7 blk 46%fg 30% 3fg and 67% ft… Very similar numbers to Nance in his prime. Both are almost exactly the same in frame (Nance: 6-11 210) and are face the basket players power forwards with rangy athleticism, but lacking the lateral speed to guard an elite SF. While some may feel Vesely is going to shoot the ball way better than Nance did, I think just because Vesely is white they expect him to have 3pt range which just isnt the case. Both have about 15-20 foot consistent range on their jumpers and they handle the ball fairly the same to boot. I can see the Tom Chambers compairson to a certain exetent due to their athleticsm, frame, and handle but if you look at Chambers numbers, Vesely will never stroke the ball or score at the clip that Chambers did. Anthony randolph while also similar in frame and athleticsm is a much better shot blocker and rebounder and doesn’t have the same motor as a Vesely…. Darius Miles is also a decent comparison but i think thats Vesely’s Basement potential. Some of the comparisons I’ve seen just are way off in my mind.. Vesely isn’t Kirelenko as he wont ever block 3 shots a game.. He’s certainly not Nowitzki as he’s a much better athlete than Nowitzki but doesn’t have no where near his range or offensive polish.at the same age.. Mike Dunleavy is the worst i’ve heard though , the most simialr thing about them is they are tall skinny white guys. Dunleavy couldn’t get up as a high as Vesely’s elbow and is a way better shooter and doesn’t have no where near the motor of a Vesely. Anyone reading this, WATCH  GAME VIDEO NOT A HIGH LIGHT REEL, you will see Nance and Vesely are extremely similar. There admittedly  may be an even better comparison out there, but thats the closest I can see.

i see him as the euro counterpart of griffin without the injurues seeing this guy play since he started playing pro ball in europe with the expirience and the toughness that this guy has that would be my comparrison of him dont get me wrong but he is a version of blake griffin that has a horrible free throw shot
