valentineWith Howard agreeing now who goes crazy for Bynum. I was kinda hoping he went to Houston so we coulda tried to pry Asik and Motiejunas and maybe a pick away. But now what might be the best SnT option for the 7-6. Its starting to look vague with most of the talent signing

ASAP HenryParticipantYea, I can see Dallas offering him something like a 2 year $30 million deal. Truthfully, I just feel bad for Dirk at this point. The Mavs blew up that 2011 championship team and convincing Dirk that they could get possibly Dwight and either D-Will or CP3. Hopefully Cuban has something up his sleeve, because this Mavs team is starting to feel like a lottery team

HitsterParticipantThe likes of Al Jefferson a durable 18/10 player has slipped through a lot of contenders hands and ended up in Charlotte as some teams were so preoccupied with trying to get D12 they never did any ground work on a plan B. We all know that the likes of Jefferson and Bynum are not in the same league as D12 but a canny team would have put out a few feelers early last week to see what there interest was.
It was no good them missing out on D12 and then suddenly turning to Jefferson as a clear 2nd choice, there needed to be groundwork first and to maye have stopped Jefferson going out and getting himself fixed up.
If you wanted to be really canny with Bynum, put a 4 year deal on the table but make years 2 to 4 team options, reward him well and then that team has the upside of him if he returns sound and very little downside. Or they give him a shorter term deal maybe 2 years with year 2 a player option and if Bynum returns sound and in form then they are in pole position to offer him the best contract next year. But with Bynum’s injury record he may well be best from a team’s point of view being given shorter contracts going forward.

kazamParticipantI am very curious to see the contract that Bynum eventually accepts, whoever it may be from. It has to have a heavy insurance policy in it.
