So- is this going to happen or not?  The deadline to terminate Bynum’s contract is tomorrow.  It seems the hold up is the Cavs do not want to part with young talent or a draft pick, but some contract has to go with Bynum to the Lakers to make the salaries works. 

As a Laker fan, and it pains me to say this, but I think they are better off long term to part with Gasol and acuire the salary dump (and salary tax savings) of Bynum.  Apparently, Cleveland has told LA that Waiters will not be a part of any deal for Bynum.  So not sure who else they are willing to part with.

I think Cleveland is motivated to cut bait with Bynum and see what kind of team they have in place with Gasol.

It is a lost season for the Lakers and need to position themselves for the future and hopefully a high lottery pick next summer.

This has been truly BIZZARE…On saturday it was reported that Pau had been traded to Cleveland..Moments later the Lakers front office denied those claims..I hear whats holding up the trade is that the Lakers want Waiters to be included in the deal…But the Cavs dont want to include him in the deal..They’ve also been talking to Utah about Richard Jefferson ….We might hear something later today…

Pau might not be a great defender,but he does so many positive things on the offensive end…..And he does a great job of protecting the rim…..
