A source close to the process told ESPN.com that the Wolves recently said no to a potential Luol Deng and Tyrus Thomas for Jefferson deal, telling the Bulls that they aren’t going to move Jefferson by the trade deadline, which is consistent with what Wolves GM David Kahn has been saying for weeks. However, a Deng-and-Thomas deal was the most realistic trade scenario we’ve heard for Jefferson. ESPN.com

What do you guys think? Good trade for the Timberwolves? Does getting Deng disturb the idea of getting Gay in free agency? Does the Rose-Jefferson tandem sound good?

I don’t like the trade for minnisota, Deng hasn’t been good since that one playoff run a few years ago and Thomas can’t do much besides jump.

Big Al isn’t the best option to par with Rose but he would still be very good. Is Al good in the pick and roll?

honestly i dont think it would be a great trade for chicago because the best part about derrick’s game is his ability to get to the basket and dish and al jefferson’s game is in the paint so that would be conflictive, i think the t’wolves made the right decision because if they can get gay this offseason a YOUNG group such as flynn, gay, love, jefferson, brewer, and maybe rubio could be special

That would be a terrible trade for the T wolves. Deng is nothing more than a number 3 option at best anymore to me, it just seems like the injuries have really taken a toll on him. He’s regressed since that playoff run like 3 years ago. Tyrus Thomas is not good at all…I dont understand what people see in him. Please somebody tell me cuz its driving me bonkers. The only thing I’ve ever seen him do is run and jump. Which is cool if your in the 100M hurdles. But he has no basketball skill, and this potential that everyone says he has, I just dont see.
