It has been rumored that the Bulls are interested in Nocioni again! Why?…I don’t know. The Kings have a logjam at SF, especially now that Garcia is getting healthy. Casspi & Greene have performed well this season. This mean the Kings are going to get rid of a SF & it is likely going to be Nocioni. Anyways to get to the rumored trade:
Kings get: Tyrus Thomas
Bulls get: Nocioni
There is going to be some other pieces involved (cash, draft picks, more players) in this though nothing has been reported.
I will be pretty upset as a Bulls fan if Chicago does a trade similar to this. Why trade Tyrus Thomas (who is clearly better than Taj Gibson) for Nocioni. Nocioni has a terrible contract.
Tyrus Thomas > Nocioni
Stay Away Chicago…please

llperezi read that too, but it sounded like pure speculation from a sac news source and you know the kings would be in heaven if they could dump nocioni’s 21 million still owed to him for an expiring contract like thomas. I think that is just wishful thinking from the sac journalists.

gatorheelsParticipant^ llperez- you are probably right. That trade honestly makes zero sense for the Bulls.

BasketBalAllanParticipantI thought Garcia was out another month at least…
Not a great trade for the Bulls, I am not too sure the Sac Bee has its sources authenticated as well as they may think.

TheFactionCoalition.comParticipantFrom the Bee:
“The Bulls are believed to still think highly of Nocioni, and they just so happen to have a defensive-minded big man in Tyrus Thomas who they are reportedly open to trading. Thomas is owed $4.7 million this season and is a restricted free agent this summer, meaning the Kings could give him a long look before deciding whether or not to keep him.”That is nothing close to a rumor that’s simply a reporter saying the Bulls may be interested in Noch and the Kings are interested in TT…nothing is said about hearing it from sources, it’s not even saying they would be the only pieces or TT. IT DOESN’T SAY ANYTHING. It’s just like some of the ideas people have on this site…they say how about team A trades so-and-so to team B for these guys…does that make it a rumor??????????

gatorheelsParticipantFaction- Well it was posted on ESPN under NBA Rumors. It was also posted at hoopshype under rumors. I get what you are saying though.
BasketBalAllan- The SacBee reported Garcia is scheduled to return in about 2 weeks.

IndianaBasketballParticipantI wouldn’t say Tyrus is clearly better than Taj, but trading Tyrus for Nocioni would be crazy… Nocioni still has two guaranteed years worth $13.5 million on his contract. Trading for him would hurt their chances to land a max deal free-agent this summer.
Who the Bulls need to be trying to trade is Salmons… Because he’s not going to opt out.

SportsNinjaParticipantis hardly a newspaper and I think ESPN will throw up any opion on a trade to get people to pay for Insider…

seecocoaballParticipantTyrus is a better talent but he’s not better than Taj Gibson. He could be better than Taj Gibson if he listen to the staff more. He’s trying to be a threat shooting the ball when that’s his weakest component on the perimeter.

the I in winParticipantif i’m not mistaken the bulls already had nocioni and he wasn’t great their, why would they want him back when he is playing worse?
