drk3351Participantyour right about the 2 number ones going down in two years, but you also have to consider the spurs and bulls both had significant injuries that changed the series

GrandmamaParticipantI don’t care if there were only 7 seconds left in the game, that Hawes foul on Asik was a flagrant. He blatantly tackled him around his shoulders and didn’t go for the ball.

UNCbasketballbumParticipantSixers win first series since 2003. Two years in a row, an 8 has beaten a 1…..WOW!

Wavy BagelsParticipantThat was all Waston’s fault.

Wavy BagelsParticipantWhy would you send Asik, who shoots 45% from the FT line, in that clutch of a situation. He should’ve held the ball and shoot the free ones himself, but I digress from your post. This is an extreme confidence builder for a young Sixers team.

Sewok15ParticipantHe did hit him in the head but no way you can call that a flagrant in that situation. Watson did screw up big time by passing the ball so if it is on anyone it is on him. I know Coach T likes defense but Lucas seems like the better player to start at PG next season while they wait for D Rose. This team needs offense and and Lucas will bring it. He was draining shots in the first half and didn’t really get much run in the second half.
Go SIXERS!

That’s EXACTLY what I was thinking. You know they’re going to foul and you give the ball to the worst free-throw shooter on the floor? What was he thinking?
Does anybody think the 76ers have the ability to beat the Celtics or Hawks in a 7 game series?

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantGrandmama
If flagrants like that were called, LeBron and Dwight Howard would have a ton of players suspended. That is an average foul to them. Playoff basketball.

Wavy BagelsParticipantThey have the ability to beat whoever comes out of the BOS/ATL series, but I honestly think this is as far as they go.

TomShoeParticipantInjuries are showing to be a huge factor in the playoffs this year.
The same thing happened to the Bulls this year that happened to the Spurs last year. Key players get injured, and that leaves the team vulnerable to upsets.
But anyway, congrats to the Philly Cheesesteaks, making it to the 2nd round since early 2000s, when good ol’ AI was playing.

What The DevilParticipantTo be fair to Watson….I think he thought that Asik was open and would be able to throw a dunk down…that’s the only conclusion I can think of anyways

Sewok15ParticipantIn most situations that would be the right call to pass to the big man on the break but not this time. Unless he is wide open there is no way you can pass that ball. I am just guessing CJ isn’t used to being in at the end of the game when you have to adjust your decision making and did what was natural to him and gave it up on the break.
As a Sixers fan I really feel for the Bulls because they were going to crush the Sixers with DRose. I really like Droses game and attitude. Would have loved to see them match up with the Heat in the conference finals but that being said I am also happy to see my Sixers advance.
