Build a team using the last 5 NBA Drafts (2010 through 2014).

First, choose a starting lineup. You can only choose 1 player from each draft.

Second, choose 3 bench players. They MUST be second rounders, from any year, or same year.

    My Team:

    PG- Dante Exum (2014)

    SG- Klay Thompson (2011)

    SF- Giannis Antetokounmpo (2013)

    PF- Anthony Davis (2012)

    C- Derrick Favors (2010)

Bench- Nate Wolters, Draymond Green, and Jarnell Stokes

Team has incredible defense, length and size – 6’6, 6’7, 6’10 (or whatever Giannis is now), 6’11, 6’10. All thre perimeter players can handle the ball, can make plays, and score. Outside shooting might be a bit of a concern but you have Klay and both Exum and Giannis should develop that aspect of their games. Anthony Davis mid-range is becoming dangerous and would fit well w Favors forming a nice inside-out big man duo. There are 3 players in the last 5 second rounds who are by far better players but for my bench I went with realistic bench guys who are tough, grindy, try-hard guys.

Choose your 8-man team and explain how you could beat my team in a 7-game series over the next decade. There is a wide variety of combinations that could form some formidable opponents. Good Luck!

    John Wall
    Beal
    Paul George
    Blake
    Cousins
I want to put Pat Patterson at the 4 because he can pull Davis or Favors out of the paint, but Blake can do that to an extent too.
2nd rounders would be Clarkson, Parsons, and idk who for a big…. Patric Young? The 5 I put up are all two-way players except for Blake and they can all make jumpshots.

I messed up. Didn’t read that rule. Exclude my dream lineup.

    PG: Eric Bledsoe (2010)

    SG: Nik Stauskas (2014)

    SF: Kawhi Leonard (2011)

    PF: Anthony Davis (2012)

    C: Steven Adams (2013)

Bench: Isiah Thomas, Chandler Parsons, Draymond Green

Great defense in the paint and a lockdown defender in Leonard. Bledsoe can drive to the lane and pass out to Leonard or Stauskas. Should have enough offense and defense will be great.

PG: Kyrie 2011 (great shooter and good playmaker)

SG: Gary Harris 2014 (solid 2 way player)

SF: George 2010 (elite defender and great offensively)

PF: Davis 2011 (rim protector, scorer)

C: Adams 2013 (can be physical with anyone, helps davis not to get banged up)

Bench: Sf: parsons, pg: thomas, pf: draymond green

bench gives well rounded parsons, great scorer thomas, and great hustle and defender draymond green!

I think this team would play AMAZING defense, with still enough scoring punch to put some points on the board.

    c – demarcus cousins (10)

    pf – nerlens noel (13)

    sf – kawhi leonard (11)

    sg – gary harris (14)

    pg – damien lillard (12)

bench: lance stephenson, chandler parsons, mike scott

cousins gives you offensive big.  noel protects the rim.  lillard gives you a scorer on the perimeter.  leonard as a good defensive player and 3rd option on offense.  harris is there for defense and as another guy that can space the floor on offense.

stephenson and parsons provide a lot of versatility with subs.  mike scott is a good stretch big.

Undrafted or Overseas players for the roster starting 5 or bench?

If so then here is my squad for yours druneave3

    Michael Carter Williams

    Andrew Wiggins

    Paul George

    Andre Drummond

And my last pic I’m torn because I would pick Joel Embiid but he and Wiggins are in the same class BUT I originally had Markief Morris so it’s either him or AW.

My bench would include Mirza Teletovic, Parsons, and Stephenson

    SG-Andrew Wiggins
    SF-Paul George
    PF-Anthony Davis
    C-Nerlens Noel
Bench-Lance Stephenson, Isaiah Thomas, Jarnell Stokes

I get a point guard who can score, tons of athleticism on the wing, an athletic front court that could give problems to opponents with two top defenders, and a pair of borderline superstars in George and Davis.

The bench has Lance Stephenson to provide a physical presence on the wing, Isaiah Thomas as a scorer and extra ball handler to be able to help push the tempo and create extra roster versatility, and Jarnell Stokes to be a big man who can bang in the paint- who I picked over Parsons for the last spot because I was trying to make the best team instead of the most talent.

For my team I’m simply going to put together the best individual talent I can pile up:

    PG: Kyrie Irving 2011
    SG: Victor Oladipo 2013
    SF: Andrew Wiggins 2014
    PF: Anthony Davis 2012
    C: Demarcus Cousins 2010

    Bench
    Isaiah Thomas
    Lance Stephenson
    Chandler Parsons

The starting lineup has three ultra athletic players playing SG, SF and PF. They can all play defense and offense. At PG and C they have dynamic offensive talents, one a player with great handles, guts and terrific shooting ability and the other a big strong pivot who can score inside or out and is a force on the boards.

On the bench we have a backup PG in Thomas that can provide a spark off the bench. A lockdown wing defender in Stephenson and a versatile combo forward in Parsons that can contribute in a variety of ways. We don’t have a center coming off the bench but when we don’t play Cousins at C we can play small ball with Davis at center and Parsons at PF.

Irving isn’t a traditional passing point guard but almost every player on the team is a good passer for their position so ball movement shouldn’t be a problem.
