valentineI use a mock lottery and the 76ers get picks 3 and 4 roughly 50% of the time. I have them grab Dunn at 3 to be point guard of the future. Then I always go with Hield, Bender or Brown. My favorite is Hield though. My further thoughts would be.
1. Trade Nerlens (to Boston for RJ Hunter and James Young)
2. Trade Joel (to Phoenix for Morris)
3. Trade Dario (to Detroit for Morris)
4. Sign free agent Joakim Noah

TheMOSTHATEDoneParticipantCrappy everything aside from point 4 your logic appears very flawed.
Trading 76ers future for a mediocre now

SubZeroParticipantI like the Kris Dunn/Buddy Hield combo picks (although I think they could trade down and get Hield), but no way should they trade Embiid or Nerlens. Noel’s proven to be a valuable piece for them for the future, and why trade Embiid before he shows what he can do?

TravelinTravParticipantCall it a hunch but the sixes will draft another center. Bender it is, drafting any other position isn’t the likely event.

jalendean2Dunn, Hield, Covington, Morris, Noah start
Ish, Morris, Okafor bench
Hunter, Young. Sauce Castillo for shooters
the point of Noah is a veteran with work ethic, have cap room could sign Horford as well, future and present

NBAjunkie81ParticipantI like both Dunn & Hield but neither guy is a "Franchise" building block… Both were looking to enter the draft last year….. Hield was Mock Drafted Late 1st round (#25 – 30) & Dunn was mock drafted After Russell(#2), Mudiay(#7), Payne(#14), Rozier(#16), Grant(#19), Wright(#20) & possibly after Tyus Jones who went #24…..
Admittedly Both guys are Much better this year w/ another year under their belt but Both guys will be 22 years old at the Draft – Every player you just mentioned that this Sixers own the rights to are Better prospect AND younger….
2016 looks like an incredibly weak draft after Simmons & Ingram….. If I was Philly I would be Praying they do NOT get that Lakers pick this year…. It’s top 3 protected in 2017 & completely Unprotected for 2018….
Again – so I don’t get hammer – I am NOT criticizing Dunn or Hield – I like Both guys, but you do Not trade a 7’2” possible franchise center like Embiid or a 6′ 10” Point Forward like Saric…. Both Noel is a full year Younger than both Hield & Dunn & Okafor is 2 years younger & both man have major skills & both are 6’11”….
you don’t trade young big men for guards….. unless it’s a Very rare prospect at guard

Memphis MadnessParticipantIf the Sixers end up at 3 and 4 then that is not bad for them.
They get their backcourt. Okafor is their go-to guy inside. I can imagine Buddy Hield getting plenty of good looks.
I assume they keep Ish as a backup. If not, then they either trade him or TJ McConnell.
Trade TJ McConnell, Nik Stauskas, and the 20th pick to Utah for the 13th pick, cash, and a future second round pick.
Then trade the 28th pick and the 37th pick to Boston for 31, 49, and 50.
At 13, the Sixers can go after Jamal Murray to be their 6th man at either the 2 or the 1.
Dunn, Hield, Ish Smith, and Jamal Murray would be a good, if short, backcourt rotation.
With second round picks at 31, 49, and 50 they can either look at small forwards or bigs who can shoot.
But, after this draft they will have a pretty good young core: Okafor, Noel, Dunn, Hield, Saric (if/when he comes over), Embiid, Jamal Murray, and Ish Smith.

SpaceghostParticipantIf this is the thinking of Sixers fan expect another 100 years of L’s. How can you even type Trade Nerlens..For James Young? and RJ Hunter? We talking bout the same James Young and RJ Hunter on the Celtics.. THEN you want to get MORRIS Squared experiment again.

MopgrassParticipantI like the part where the Sixers give up all their best prospects for nothing.
