WarblingSpamalopeParticipantBuy or sell? If i remember right he was a 90 before. I think the warriors and the 3 pt obsession help him a lot. He is shooting a ton of threes at a great percentage.

Chilbert arenasParticipantRelative to the rest of the guys in this draft I’d buy it but it’s not how the scoring is done. I don’t think he’s going to be a star by any means but his bust potential is very low.

ncballerI love seeing guys like him succeed. He was a lightly recruited 2 star out of high school. Hope he lives up to the 97 rating. I want no part of him in the NCAA tourney as a UNC fan.

MopgrassParticipantHope he’s got long arms because SG’s who are 6’4" don’t get a lot of fun in the NBA. It kind of stinks because I think he’s a top 8 guy (maybe higher). I actually think the NBA overreacts to height.

Pistol Pete. The PelicanParticipantThat other site says he measured in a 6’4.5, 215 pounds with a 6’8.5 wingspan at the Nike Skills academy. If those measurements hold up at the combine that isn’t too bad. I like his game anyway, but he does remind me of Jodie Meeks, I don’t see the Harden comparison at all. He seems to be a slightly better ball handler and passer than Meeks. He may be a poor man’s Eric Gordon (pre injury).

Stop_basketball_nonsenseParticipantHeight will & never dictate a persons obvious talent to be able to play at any level. I think writing this post you momentarily fogot about wade, Gordon, Meeks, beal, Jason terry, Avery Bradley, & those are just good players from this generation. Hall of famers dumars &, earl the pearl come to mind as well.

Jr. ROXASParticipantHield is my favorite player this coming draft. He’s shooting 50, 50, 90 this season which is insane. His game reminds me so much of Bradley Beal in that they both are elite spot up shooters but they generate most of their offense through their dribble drive game. He has such smooth handles and like Beal is sneaky athletic. He’s a top 5-10 pick in my eyes for sure.

holefillers1ParticipantHe is Jodie Meeks. You guys kill me. Every player that scores more than than 17 a game is going to be a stud. Every player that is ranked in the top ten will remain there for the rest of their playing days. Listen uo fellas, it took Buddy Hield four years to learn how to drive to beat college guys. And while we are on the subject of overrated players. Jamal Murray is attempting eight 3’s per game in conference play and getting to the line 2.5 time per game.

holefillers1ParticipantGary Harris is a more apt comp. Tgey compared him to Beal as well.

bmac697ParticipantMaybe he never had a good enough coach to teach him how to play previous years leading up to the four years he spent in college. Some guys are late bloomers, I do agree we cant just jump on any college player who can score more than 17 points per game, but he has the mental make up of a pro, that cant be tought and thats why he will have a succesful career in the NBA. If hes been getting better over the past four years, think how good he may be after four years of NBA experience. He will find his role and I believe he will work his ass off to fill that role whatever it may end up being the best he can. Def a top 10 pick this draft IMO

JoeWolf1I’ve been watching Buddy for 4 years, and I can say this kid is a guy who will be a major player in the NBA. He’s 6’4” and 22 years old, but he’s worked so hard to improve his game, and make it more pro ready that I have little doubt he’ll continue to grind when he’s in the NBA.
He’s an elite 3 point shooter, and has NBA range. He’s also a strong athlete, who can drive. Not to mention, Oklahoma plays a very quick pace, and this will certainly aid his transition to the pros. He leads the break quite a bit, and although he’s still an undersized two, it’s clear he’s working to become more of a combo.
I’d go over if I had to take an over/under of Buddy eventually becoming a 20 ppg guy in the NBA.

circumlocution75ParticipantKris Dunn will be 22 by the time….. I like Both players but fairly or unfairly age IS a factor for NBA franchises w/ regards to the Draft…… Both Hield & Dunn were looking to enter last seasons Draft…. Hield was projected as a very late 1st round pick & Dunn was projected as a mid 1st round pick & the 3rd PG prospect after Mudiay & Russell……
But as the Draft approached GM’s & scouts put Cameron Payne (#14 OKC), Terry rozier (#16 Boston) & Jerian Grant (#19 New York Knicks) ahead of Dunn & he was put in the mix w/ Delon Wright (#20 Toronto) & Tyus Jones (#24 Minnesota)……
So both men wisely opted to return to school & the 2016 which was projected to be very weak looks even weaker than expected now that Skal Labisierre looks like he’ll be returning for his Sophmore season…. Dunn & Hield could Both go in the Lottery (top 14)…. so we’ll see what happens…..
I like both players & the NBA USED to value finished products b/c back in the day, the Pro teams did Not want to Develop players but now there is an expectation (Fairly or Unfairly) that if a Prospect is not Drafted before age 20 then he’s not much of a Top prospect….. I agree that age should Not be an issue outside the Top 5 – but in that Top 5, a team really should shoot for the stars b/c the NBA punishes bad teams that only manage to Draft solid pro’s & not future Super Stars b/c they get caught in that middle ground purgatory #8 playoff seed for a decade or more….

TheLastWordParticipantHe’ll measure better at the combine at least on wingspan. Nike Skills Academy always lowballs on wingspan measurements and that’s the only place he’s been measured. A 6’9.5" wingspan would be above average for a SG and help his draft stock a lot.
