Stinky34ParticipantI woke up early this morning to get my draft buzz and from what I hear ot appears the Bucks may be leaning towards Terrence Jones at 14… I wasnt fond of Jones at first but after watching more film of him I like what I see… He is big and strong… He can put the ball on the floor and he is an excellent defender… He can defend guards and forwards… If he can imprive his jumpshot he could be a real steal at 14… It sounds like its either him or trade back again…

seventhParticipantwith you. I wanted to post a topic about TJ. He’s very athletic and i see him as a more athletic Chris Bosh, The Raptors Bosh..

MusliParticipantI think some people will be really surprised by T Jones. He looks to me like a taller, smarter, less athletic Josh Smith. And he’s willing to adapt & adjust, as he did in Kentucky this year. So I don’t understand all that hate.

machu46ParticipantI’ve been hearing it for days. The more I watch him, the more I pray we do NOT take him.
I understand why the Bucks would be interested. With Jennings and Ellis, we need guys in the front court that can protect the rim, and Jones can do that. But he’s a PF, which is our deepest position. He’d be buried behind Gooden, Sanders, Udoh, Mbah A Moute, and possibly Ilyasova if he returns.
More importantly, his offensive game is still extremely limited. Statistically, he was the worst finisher at the rim out of any PF in the draft from what I’ve read, and his jumpshot is average at best. His ball-handling is sloppy, and he relied solely on strength and length to finish around the rim in college, and still didn’t do it well. I want no part of Terrence Jones. Give me Terrence Ross, Perry Jones III, Jeremy Lamb, Tyler Zeller, or Meyers Leonard please.
I think Terrence’s floor is being buried on the bench and his ceiling is being a role player off the bench. Zeller can start right away. Leonard can develop into a starter. Ross, Lamb, and PJIII can likely start right away too. We need someone that can immediately contribute if we want to keep Ellis, Jennings, and Ilyasova around.

PulseGlazerParticipantI keep hearing Terrence Ross, which I actually like for them since he’s big enough to play both wings.

Stinky34ParticipantDont get me wrong, id love for Perry Jones to be the pick but im just saying I wouldnt be that upset if T. Jones is the pick… Hes a very skilled young player… Ilyasova will be gone, Mbah Moute is more of a SF… That leaves Gooden and Udoh as full time PF… Larry Sanders will be backing ip Dalembert at the 5 so getting a PF would be a great addition…

machu46ParticipantI just disagree. I think Terrence Jones has very little skill as an NBA prospect.
What he brings to the floor is that he can likely defend SFs as well as PFs, and he can occasionally beat someone with his quick first step to the rim for a dunk.
However, he isn’t a good scorer at all. Too sloppy with the ball to be a SF, but above-average for a PF. However, he has no right hand. He only goes left, and he doesn’t have good touch a round the rim.
I don’t think he’d be any better for Milwaukee than Larry Sanders.

sjcmr5SamParticipanthe measured in very well at the combine. I thought his biggest knock was being like 6’8" or 6’9" but he measured in at 6’10" 252 lbs. How could you not like his potential? I think he is the perfect fit for the bucks and the perfect NBA PF in general. That size but can still step out and handle and shoot and he can guard sf or pf so when teams go small he can stay on the floor

MoneyTeam6ParticipantHe reminds of a less athletic version of Josh Smith good rebounder good defender decent handle decent shooter against certain matchups can score in the post some

F_DA_POParticipantI watched Kentucky a good amount last year cuz they were always on TV. IMO, Terrence Jones and Teague were the least impressive players to me. I think Doron Lamb will be better than both, and obviously Gilly and Davis
