If the Nets want to get Dwight Howard, they must secure two first picks as assests to throw in the deal…I would give the Thunder & Grizzles, two teams that doesn’t want to keep their first round picks respectively, for $3 to $5 million in cash consideration…Once acquired, the Nets should then throw those players in a package that includes Brook Lopez, MarShon Brooks, J and the signing & trading of Gerald Wallace, for Dwight Howard

They would have to take Hedo’s big contract as well

The Magic could also throw in Chris Duhon’s hefty deal as well to the trade

The BK Nets would trade Brook Lopez, two 2012 first round picks, MarSon Brooks, Gerald Wallace, and cash, to the Magic for Dwight Howard, Hedo Turkoglu, ans Chris Duhon

I wonder what they could get for Brook Lopez. If they could get the 6th and 11th pick for him the Nets should think about it.
Or trade him to the Rockets for the 14th pick, the 16th pick, and a young player or an expiring contract. Then play Marshon Brooks, the two rookies, and resign Gerald Green. Rebuild, get a great pick next year and then make a run at Dwight Howard in free agency.

Their best bet is to get a good young team going and then going after some big free agents without trading their younger assets like Marshon Brooks.

Deron Williams will not wait on young players to develop, he wants Dwight Howard now, to feel comforyable about the team’s direction, to resign

I think OKC could use their pick to add some depth this year.

I’ve heard that there are some picks to buy this year. Also the Nets swag is selling like crazy even without any actual players on the team. They’ve got the cash to buy some picks.

I doubt your trades would work or happen, but there will be NBA starters available late in the first round, so buying picks is worth it.

I believe the most you can pay for a first rounder is 3mil.
