He is absolutely killing Duke right now, albeit a banged up Duke frontline. What is everyone’s thoughts on him as an NBA player?

The one skill that he undoubtedly brings that will translate to the next level is his ability to rebound the ball. He is probably one of the quickest second jumpers I have ever seen. He kind of reminds me of Shawn Marion in that regard although he doesn’t remind me of Marion as a player. He has good instincts and really attacks the glass.

Offensively, he has a decent jump hook and touch around the basket but he is still pretty raw overall. Hasn’t shown the ability to put the ball on the floor and beat bigger defenders or shoot from mid-range consistently. Hes also slightly undersized for either frontcourt position and although he’s a pretty good defender, stronger bigs can take advantage of him on the block.

I personally like him as a role player at the next level, especially if he develops his offensive game a little more. Not sure if he’s worth a lottery pick at this point though.

I see Taj Gibson his comparison on the web site is the most favorable one for me.

I think hes going to be a very solid rotation guy early in his career, and eventually turn into a solid starter for the sole fact with his size and speed hes able to guard multiple positions on the floor.. I think he has the potential to be a very scrappy defender, who will excel in transition his game is very well suited for the NBA right now, His Value will rise.. GMs are always willing to select guys like Brice as long as hes commited to the defensive end hes going to be successful

I am not watching this game but have seen him play before.

Does he have an outside game ?

I currently have him late in the first, similar draft position right next to Ben Bentil.

From my draft notes….Plays around the rim and a bit of bully ball. I dont know how much skill he has actually got but his playing style will struggle in the pros. With Meeks injured, I think his stats are inflated.

Meeks played tonight and Brice had 29 and 19. Kid is a freak of nature. I don’t think he’ll ever translate into a star at the NBA level but he will be a good player in the NBA for a long time.

I think his defensive success at the next level will be dependent on how he can guard the Pick and Roll. He can be a very versitile defender with that athletic ability and wing span.

I think Brice can have a long NBA career.  Probably an energy guy off of the bench but maybe a solid starter down the line.  I like how he has gotten better all 4 years at Carolina.  He came in as a 185 pound rail that couldn’t stay on the floor for more than 5 minutes at a time because he lacked focus and got into foul trouble all the time.  Now he’s probably the best power forward in the country, an all-american and possible ACC player of the year.  He put in the work and matured and it has all paid off for him.

My uncle seems to liken him to a guy like Tayshaun Prince very early in his career, said if he can develop a 3 point stroke and a go to post up moveto he’ll be a starter on a playoff team for 10 years…

I see some of the potential to be a solid defender and rebounder, he does have a crafty left hand hook shot and should be thought the art of the 3 ball while in the Pros, don’t let a Team like San Antonio get to this guy because he could be a stud in due time…

I want a team with time to spare at St/Pf to grab him him in the lottery (8-13 range) maybe the Kings?
