Mcadoo leaving early for the NBA is the best thing that could’ve happened to Brice Johnsoin.  He should step in at the four next season and start.  If Johnson puts on about 15-20 pounds of muscle and becomes a better defender, he could be an all-acc performer and an elite guy nationally.  He is more skilled than Mcadoo in the post and has a nice 15 foot jumper and jump hook.  He is just as athletic as Mcadoo, perhaps even more bouncy.  He is a higher upside also.  Isaiah Hicks should be much improved also next year and should get more playing time as well.  Kennedy Meeks should lose more weight over the summer and get in better condition and he should start at the 5.  UNC also has Joel James, who is a big body.  He hasn’t much in his first 2 years in Chapel Hill, but could become a valuable contributor off the bench.  The cupboard is far from bare without Mcadoo.

Brice Johnson showed a lot this past year. If he post-game continues to improve he’ll be a very coveted player. But the Tarheel I’m interested in seeing next year is Meeks. The dude is fatter than Renardo Sidney-which is a problem- but he is incredibly skilled for someone his size.

I’ve said it before, but it’s so true: he’s a considerably better version of Sean May. Now this all depends if he can get his conditioning straight, because if he doesn’t shed weight he truly will be the next Renardo Sidney.

It’s funny somebody mentions Sean May because that’s the kind of path I could see Meeks taking. He drops 20 pounds and he will be a force. I could see him putting up 14 and 8 next year easily.

I’m a bit bummed JMM left because honestly how much worse could his stock get? But I do think Johnson is an ideal guy to step in and take on an expanded role. He has to be more consistent and better defensively.

People hype up Dukes recruiting class, and for good reason, but UNC has a very good class coming in as well. It will be fun to see these teams battle next year.

I think Justin Jackson will have a chance to start next year.  It depends on if Roy plays him at the 2 or the 3.  He could play Justin at the 2 since he is a better shooter and more skilled than Tokoto.  Roy could go with a small backcourt of Joel Berry and Marcus Paige with Justin Jackson at the three, but that would mean Tokoto would be coming off the bench.  JP is too good of a defender, slasher and athlete not to be in the starting lineup in my opinion.  He improved his jumper and became a pretty good mid-range shooter.  Another summer of working on his jumper could make Tokot a competent shooter.  I thini in the end, Jackson will start at the 3.

I think the 5th starting spot will go to Berry or Jackson.  Tokoto is too valuable to come off the bench.  He became the epitome of a consistent glue role player at the end of the season.
