Who’s stock do you see rising the most between now and draft day.

    Heres a few predictions.

Auburn is gonna have a deep run in SEC tournament play and national tournament play. They might be the best team in the country. When that happens Pettiford is going to have some performances on the big stage where he plays well and because of his flashy and explosive playstyle it is going to boost his draft stock very high.

OKC is currently mocked picking at 8th overall. I would not be surprised if Rasheer Fleming gets picked with OKC’s first draft pick.He just seems like a typical Sam Presti pick, I’ve heard that he’s a legit 6’10 in shoes with a 7’5 wingspan. He looks more like a 6’8 7’3 imo but either way that combined with the floor spacing and his abillity to force turnovers makes him an extremely valueable prospect.I wanted to put him at 8th in my most recent mock draft but had to go with the Oklaholma Sooner ‘Fears.

There seems to be alot of bigman prospects that have the abillity to space the floor, pass the ball and block shots in this draft like the Ivisic brothers, Danny Wolf . Those bigs are just extremely rare that when you have a chance to select and develop one I think these prototypes of players will get drafted much higher than their actual big board ranking. Its like QB’s in American Football to a lesser extent, A QB maybe 45th on someones big board but could still go top 5 just for being the best available. The NBA is currently dominated by bigs Embiid, Wemby, Jokic and teams are going to need to find an awnser for that going forward. For instance Scottie Barnes has been injured by both Jokic and Embiid when he was playing Center.Small ball’s not the awnser anymore.

Heres the interveiw where he says his wingspan is 7’5. I think he measured at 7’4 1/2 or something. Just put that in Youtube thats the title.

That’s a tough one… and I guess it’s all in perspective. I like Fleming. Not sure he goes 8th overall but that would be a nice jump. I think the highest I’ve seen him atm is 16th by No Ceilings so far amongst published boards. NBA Big Boards has him pretty high too though. This site has him 34th in the mock draft – more my overall big board range. Between OKC and Miami it’s difficult to get a read on certain teams. I think Hitster had a point about teams in the tournament – I’d even add conference tournaments to tougher leagues can make or break a prospect too. Lets play the game though for fun…

A guy that is trending in the right direction is Andrej Stojakovic, not sure he keeps it up on a team that’s just alright, but if he keeps up his shooting up, he’s done everything to boost his stock.
The guy I mentioned yesterday who can maybe make some noise – Adrian Wooley could maybe get lucky. He might be a next year or sometime after draft guy, but what if Kennesaw State won CUSA? And what if Kennesaw State got to the big dance? I mean even if they get eliminated first round by say Florida or something, he could boost his stock up just by going head to head or even outplaying the backcourt of Florida. Walter Clayton, Jr. and Alijah Martin would be a tough backcourt for a freshman to get past. That could maybe undeniably put him on the map.
A great come out of nowhere candidate is definitely Cedric Coward. He’s been down with a shoulder injury since early on, but he did everything at Eastern Washington last year and showed no signs of slowing down at Washington State before the injury. He’s a solid wing who can dribble, pass, and shoot – yet while still playing well defensively.
A big athletic toolsy guy that can play defense and rebound is always good. Asa Newell is just that. He’s very mobile, tough – can’t quite shoot yet. But the fact that he’s willing to shoot it makes me believe he’s trying to improve his shot so his draft stock will rise, and he can do more in-in game situations too. Asa might end up the best big this year.
An obvious choice could be Khaman Maluach. Most people had this guy in their top 5 in the beginning. He’s fallen off a cliff on most boards lately due to lack of production. All he has to do is be a little featured and figure it out a little more and he could be high again. That would be coming full circle though.
A guy I’m kind of expecting to rise and haven’t put him maybe high enough yet is Noah Penda. He’s got some good athleticism to go with a good frame. He’s been producing more of late. I haven’t watched enough of him to get the greatest read, but by the numbers and length, it looks like he could be promising.
Another guy I haven’t watched a ton of but who’s been turning it around by the numbers is Neoklis Avdalas.
As for the top guys… if Ace can handle the ball by the end of the year – look out! Or Flagg learns to shoot the same… And that goes for Fears too…

I absolutely love the Nikolas Avdalas callout!!!!!
As well as Cedric Coward, for sure. If he’s able to come back for the combine I definitely think he will garner some attention.

Interesting opinion about teams moving away from smallball C’s. I don’t see the more halfcourt type big coming back in although Edey did go high last year and Clingan more as a longer term prospect. I guess these bigs are expected to be able to shoot 3’s and certainly run the floor unless we got a 2nd coming of Shaq.

Maluach I can see his draft stock holding up very well given his size and Rocco Z could be anything from a top 10 pick to mid 2nd rounder.

Thomas Sorber on the Hoyas has suddenly shot up this site’s mock. I’ve not really seen much at all of him but he looks a powerful guy with a big body who can score but not a prolific rebounder. I’ll have to watch him and see how he compares to say Derrick Queen.

I don’t really know who has stock and who doesn’t, but here are some guys who aren’t really on many Mocks I see and perhaps could or even should be, and who might be poised for some March Madness notoriety:
    Braden Smith, Purdue
    Jalon Moore, Oklahoma
    Flory Bidunga, Kansas
    Sion James, Duke
    Joshua Jefferson, Iowa St

Some guys that I have on my Mock that I don’t see too often elsewhere:
    Brooks Barnhizer, Northwestern
    Otega Oweh, Kentucky
    Yaxel Lendeborg, BYU
    PJ Haggerty, Memphis
    Melvin Council, St. Bonaventure

Some (other) deep dives from mid and low major conferences that I don’t honestly think will be draft prospects *this year*, if ever, but I think have some considerable talent and could wind up finding a window into consideration.
    Malik Thomas, San Francisco
    Oscar Cluff, South Dakota St
    Josh Pascarelli, Marist
    Andrew Holifield, Lamar
    Max Brooks, UMass Lowell

Also, I guess some international prospects; some of whom I had in my mock, and some of whom I did not:
    Hansen Yang, Qingdao (China)
    Izan Almansa, Perth (Australia)
    Mouhamed Faye, Reggio Emilia (Italy)
    Mario Saint-Supery, BAXI Manresa (Spain)
    Lefteris Mantzoukas, Maroussi BC (Greece)

Blake Harper looks pretty good. I like his measurements and stats too. Hard to tell what he would do if he wasn’t going to Howard.

Jonathan Pierre of Belmont is a name to consider. He is a big, long, can do a bit of everything. He is averaging 13.7 PPG, 7.2 RPG, and 3.8 APG while shooting 39% on 5 attempts per from behind the arc. I think he got lost last year at Memphis, and didn’t really get much of a look. Still, he fits what NBA teams want. I think he is definitely playing well enough to where he will be a fixture on the predraft workout circuit, and could find some fans once there.

Jahmyl Telfort isn’t on the best Butler teams, but is showing well in a do-it-all role. I don’t think he is quite the 6’7″ he is listed at, but is another one where he should garner interest throughout the cycle.

Koby Brea isn’t complicated. He could shoot it at Dayton, and has done so at Kentucky. His size is good and his athleticism is fine for someone who can shoot it as well as he does.

Miles Byrd is one where his size, athleticism, and defense is ahead of his offense, but has five straight in double figures and just went for 22 against Boise State. He isn’t a certainty to declare in this era if he isn’t hearing what he likes about ranges, but can see it happening.

Yeah I watched that Boise St. game. He had a smile on his face the whole game I thought that was hilarious. Byrd is impressive.
