high floorParticipantWith the exception of some recent health concerns, I feel Brandon Knight has been underrated in NBA circles and has really come into his own as a score first point guard. In a lot of ways he was the catalyst for Milwaukee during their surprise run in 2015 to the playoffs. He has good size, can really shoot the ball, and his perimeter defense is above average using his 6’10 & wingspan and 8’10 standing reach (per nbadraft.net) to annoy opposing PG’s. His handle is kind of loose & he’s a little turnover prone.. but overall I think that can improve over time with more attention to detail. In a more defense-first system, I think he can do some damage on that end of the floor.
If PHX starts out slow this year.. do you think they would consider moving him for a younger player still on his rookie contract, that better aligns with their timetable? I would really like his fit on Orlando since they need a further infusion of 3pt shooting to compliment Bismack Biyomb & Aaron Gordon in the frontcourt.. but I don’t think a trade centered around Elfrid Payton and/or Vucevic will get Phoenix to bite. Maybe I’m wrong.. and would be interested from a Suns fan’s perspective if that kind of exchange would be attractive. I really liked the idea of him going to Utah before the George Hill trade, but that ship has sailed. New York would have been interesting, but they don’t have the type of assets that would appeal to the Suns to make a deal for him. He could also be interesting in HOU next to Harden in D’Antoni’s fast pace offense.
Does PHX still value Knight as highly after signing his lucrative 2015? If not, any chance B Knight is moved this year & what kind of return would Phoenix demand in exchange?

Jr. ROXASParticipantIt’s pretty ironic that the perfect fit at PG for the Bucks right now is a guy they confusingly traded away. I don’t really see Delly as a starting PG, but as long as MCW is his competition, I want Delly starting every single game.
As for a potential B. Knight destination, maybe the Kings? A Gay for Knight trade would work for both sides as Gay fills the Suns’ hole at the 3 spot, and Knight is the perfect compliment to Cuz. Also, it seems Gay really wants out of SacTown lmao and I don’t blame him.

SlickBouncePassParticipantBecause we got the Lakers pick but that pick was weak all around.
Milwaukee gave up Knight and got MCW???
PHX gave up Isiah Thomas and got Brandon Knight??? A wash….
Philly got Isiah Canaan?! And the pick. MCW for Canaan is a joke….Hinkie could have done better, and it annoys me that literally Mudiay, Dunn, Murray, have all passed us by since the Lakers pick hasn’t translated. I like next year’s PGs but I wonder how many of them are scoring guards vs. PGs….the Sixers need a scoring guard. And Murray looked really good tonight..he was a perfect play off Simmons.
Boston made out well with Isiah Thomas.
Philly could’ve been fine with Trading away MCW for either Isiah Thomas or Brandon Knight. Thomas is an all-star, who knows how this Lakers pick will pan out.

high floorParticipantAn 8’10 standing reach would be Markieff Morris territory…

PatrickMurphyParticipantKnight has 4 more years at about $14M so he should have a lot of value given the cap shift.
I was hoping the Sixers would get him, as his scoring matches well with Simmons’ playmaking.

A Lil EnglishParticipantI think you have got the wrong player with those measurements. He has a 6’6.75" wingspan
http://www.nbadraft.net/nba-draft-combine-measurements-0
Regarding the main topic, I’m struggling to see how they can keep Knight, Bledsoe (who I thought were surprisingly good together for the small time they played together) then Booker (who looks like he will be one of the best 2 guards in the league soon) + Goodwin (who I think has great qualities).
They also have Ulis who looks good so far and they just signed Barbosa again. Someone’s gotta go but I like all these guys lol

Bankroll PJParticipantFor his talents and with the way the cap has jumped, I think Knight’s contract is at a good value whether he starts or comes off the bench. The Suns made heads up moves by locking down all these guys like Knight and Bledsoe for long term contracts before the cap made the jump.

OhCanada-ParticipantBrandon Knight seems destined to play alongside Ben Simmons. Would be the perfect compliment for both players.

mercyman25ParticipantI’d give them Knight, Goodwin for the greater of their pick or the Lakers pick for next year. I might even toss in Tucker.

mercyman25ParticipantIs potentially Gerald Green. I understand your fandom angst, but until their first year of college is in we have no idea where each player stands. Remember before this last draft Skal was the early favorite. We will see what Brandon knight’s value is later.

benny15Participantdidnt collangelo already try that package though in the draft and failed? this was before all the huge contracts were handed out this off-season, making knight’s current contract a bargain and raising his trade stock. if phoenix passed on that kind offer before, i dont know if theyll accept it now.
