SteroidParticipantComing out of high school, Knight is said to have great D, so it would be intersting to see how well he defends Kemba, who has been hot as of late. I think Kentucky will win. Kemba will probably score more points, but I see Knight having the better overall game in helping his team.

JNixonParticipantI want to see how Knight defends him. Knight has a rep as a tenacious defender and he has the size to bother the smallish Walker, but I think Walker is also a tough defender in his own right. Knight did an outstanding job last night on Isaiah Thomas when I watched, who’s also a shifty and smallish guard like Walker, and he lit him up on the other end too. Walker played tough D on Kalin Lucas and basically showed himup head-to-head when they matched up.
With that said, watching both, I like Walker to outplay Knight in this one. I think Kentucky will win though. I’m not convinced Walker has enough help to win even though I think he’ll outplay Knight, while Knight can depend on Terrence Jones to help him.

stanford hoopsKnight is known as a great defender but walker has experience while knight is only a couple of games into his college career. I may be mistaken but i think overton is known as one of the best defenders in college basketball but knight scored pretty well on him and i think he should do the same on walker. i think walker will have a harder time because up to this point he hasn’t faced a tall quick good defending guard who can also put up points until now. I expect a very entertaining match up between these two players but i expect Kentucky to win

delfamParticipantIf Calhoun goes with the lineup he did last night often will they be even covering each other alot or with Knight be on Napier?

OhCanada-ParticipantIve watched alot of Kemba Walkers games at Uconn and watched him progress and learn throught his NCAA Career. One thing that can be said about Kemba is that he is definitely a streaky player, but when he is on he is nearly impossible to gaurd. He is so quick, extremely crafty and crreative and has a nack for hitting important shots. Although when Kemba is not on his game he is a huge liability on defense, a turnover machine, and a complete letdown to his team. So far in this young season he has not showed the negative side of his game and is consistantly bringing the superb play we all know he is capable off. I think he drops another 35 on this young Kentucky team and even hits the game winning shot/free throw.
I must say this will be a difficult task thou, this Kentucky team is very different from last year. The players seem to have much more discipline and structure and dont seem to have as many absent minded moments like last years sqaud. They seem very mature and focused.

OhCanada-Participant"Knight is known as a great defender but walker has experience while knight is only a couple of games into his college career."
And in all I agree with Stanford Hoops, the key to this game will be poise and experience. Walker has gone through the slumps and struggles, and has learned to adapt to many situations. Tonights game will be a nice lesson for Brandon Knight.

stealsgaloreParticipantWalker has played off the ball a bit in this tourney.
If he does then it’ll probably be Lamb, Liggins, or Miller guarding him. All 3 will bother him with their length. The key will be if Walker can get around them and into the lane, which he’s been doing against everyone so far. But no one has bothered him with the length that Kentucky could bother him with.
