What are the chances of Coach Cal getting another unbelieveably talented guard prospect? I know that Kentucky is on his short list of schools. What do you guys think? How would Knight fit in with the Wildcats and play with Bledsoe?

I think he goes to Florida when it’s all said and done. But if he chooses Kentcuky, I think Bledsoe would declare for the draft. I’m sure Bledsoe wants to prove he’s a PG, and he would have to play off the ball once again with Knight in the lineup…

As much as you may like it or hate it, if you are a star PG, playing for Calipari is about the smartest thing you can do for your career lately. Over the past 3 seasons he will have sent DRose, Tyreke Evans, and John Wall to the NBA as top 5 picks (2 of them being 1st overall). His offense really allows his star guard to showcase his talent and very easily increase their draft stock.

I think that people are overrating Cal’s guard developing ability a little bit. Before Rose, his best NBA players were Wagner and Washington. I’m sure that he has played a role in the success of Rose, Evans and soon to be Wall, but at the same time these were all top 10 players. It’s not as though they were diamonds in the rough. Rose, Evans and Wall would have been successes no matter where they went to school.

Yeah the last 3 pgs he had were good enough in most peoples minds to skip college anyway i think his system just gives you alot of freedom

I think if knight signs then bledsoe is gone. he has enough draft stock, but if he stays then knight will paly the role the bledsoe is playing right now, seeing how knight is a better scorer.

Going to Kentucky would only be good for Coach Cals legacy, being able to recruit the top 4 PG prospects in the last 4 years, and ‘leading’ them into being top 5 picks would be great for coach Cal

and like Iggy said, I think he’ll end up with Billy Donavon and you already know hes going to be a 1 % done, but imagine if he stayed another year there, Florida would have the illest backcourt ever…Knight, Rivers, and Boynton

^ Don’t forget about Erving Walker too.  That little guard has skills.

So what schools is Knight still considering?

Last I heard it was Uconn, Kansas, Kentucky, Florida, & Miami

Personally I think he is going to go to Kentucky. I think that would be the best fit for him.

Yea, for as much love as Boynton gets when bringing up Florida, the best player in the backcourt and on their whole team is Erving Walker.

Actually as a Kentucky fan I’d rather not have him on the team…he seems selfish with the basketball and looks like a stat padder.

i agree Im Your Father.myes he does help but these guyys were nba talents before playing for him. plus that wide open style brings out the best in pg,sg,sf. its close to playing aau/open gym ball

aslo bledsoes draft stock isnt as high with scouts as it is with fans. a good workout can put himin the later first round maybe. the fact that so many teams picked up guards last year is hurting him since peiople feel hes not better then any of the guards drafted last year

personally i believe its down to 2 teams… kentucky and florida, because selby will end up at uconn so cancel them out. knight at florida would be nice, but there wont be enough shots for that backcourt (knight and boynton). i think kentucky gets knight, of course he’s a one and done type of player and coach cal doesnt mind recruiting those type of guys. Knight is a serious scorer, who gets up the floor and lets it fly, so he would definitely thrive in the dribble drive aka AAU ball offense of calipari. its a win-win for kentucky, bledsoe at the point and knight playing SG.. i dont think bledsoe will leave unless they cut down the nets….

potential kentucky starting 5, 2010-11 season:

    bledsoe
    knight
    dodson
    leslie
    orton

    the rich keep getting richer….

not enough shots in the back court?..you do know they played aau ball together and played very very well right?..you do know allen iverson played in the backcourt with victor page and did pretty well and both of them were much bigger chuckers. not sure how much of knight you have seen but he doesnt mind not being the top scorer. he shoots as much as he doesnt because he has too. as far as shelby word is he is closer to picking kansas over uconn( a lil info from one of my nephews aau teammates who plays with shelby).

I believe Selby might end up in Kansas and Knight will end up in Florida.

yeah i know they played AAU ball together, but kentucky has the whole at SG, knight could play to his strength which is to score the ball. he really isnt a point guard, although he is being recruited as one. to be honest, he would be good at either place. i mean he is a top-10 talent, kentucky just really gives the opportunity to showcase himself more.

Dont forget. UK is in the running for bigs, I think Knight might be the only guard there recuiting right now. He and Stacey Poole ( another 2010 recruit.)

Also, they targeting Terrance Jones. CJ Leslie
