OhCanada-ParticipantJust saw this while watching the Warriors vs Wizards game. May look like a weird signing but to me it seems like more of a block by Washington. They know Toronto, Indiana, Miami could use his services and scooped him up immediately.

FaceOfTheFranchiseParticipantI will admit when I first heard Brandon Jennings got waived, there were 2 teams that instantly came to mind that could use him off the bench, the first being the Wizards and the second being the Pelicans.
I realized watching the Pelicans the other day though that their biggest weakness is moreso on the wings than a PG or backup PG for that matter, however with how often Holiday is injured it might’ve made sense.
That being said I feel like Washington could really utilize Jennings. Off the top of my head I believe Trey Burke is their current backup to Wall and if they’re trying to get a top 3-4 seed I don’t believe Burke is the answer as a backup yet. Washington made the trade for Bogdonavic at the deadline and I thought that was an underrated move at the time, as their bench is probably one of the weakest for a top team.
There can be some stretches too where Jennings and Wall can play together so that is another option for some short stretches. Time will tell how he gels with the team, but I believe he will be more of a positive for them than negative.

JordoParticipantIt’s not wierd when you’ve seen the wizards bench unit all season. It’s definitely not a move just to block. Wizards really needed a PG badly and made a move immediately. They tried to get Lou Williams at the deadline but getting Jennings for the rest of the season is a good move to me.

CynthiaParticipantNot going to lie, was really hoping he’d join OKC, after dumping Cam Payne the Thunder are a little light on guards and Jennings could play the 1 and the 2. But it makes sense, Trey Burke is not working out in Washington.

HitsterParticipantJennings is a nice pick up by the Wizards and gives them backcourt options from the bench. He was a good scoring PG at his best and used as an impact bench guy can give their 2nd unit a scoring boost whilst reducing workload on Wall, Beal and co.
