Wavy BagelsParticipantI have not yet watch Florida play, but I look at Brad Beal’s stat line from time to time and seen he’s a great rebounder at his size (6’3 196 lbs). His shooting percentages could rise, but I’m pretty it’s because he’s a freshman. How is his game? Is he looking to shoot? Coming off screens? Is he trying to play one-on-one? Also, do you think his height will eventually become a reason he may be overlooked in the upcoming draft?

franfranParticipantRay Allen / Eric Gordon.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantOr Lite Mayo, either way I think he’s a fine choice if drafting a scoring guard, and some people will disagree a safer pick than Jeremy Lamb if taken where he is projected at that moment…

IndianaBasketballParticipantBetter all-around game than Mayo and he doesn’t need the ball to be effecitve.
Beal is someone I’ve been impressed with due to the fact he understands how to play a team game at a young age. He defends. Rebounds. Shoots well. Mature beyond his years.
He’ll be a very good pro.

mamadouParticipantAnd 1(IndianaBasketball).
Good IQ, good demeanor, hard worker, all around player.
Plays the 3 so he faces and defend bigger than he is.
He has some james harden in him too, plays like a vet’.
Seems 6’4, well beal’t, with a good wingspan(hustle), he’s supposed to be a pure shooter, they’re a not falling down from deep so far but i liked what i saw, anyway.
Should be close to 20-6-3-2 with high shooting percentages.
Seems already locked at 6 or 7 in this draft…
Those beal, kidd gilchrist will be very good pros, sure-fire for me.

akhan786ParticipantI’m a BIG Duke fan but Brad Beal IMO is a much better prospect than Austin Rivers. He plays so well without the offense running through him and knows how to play off-ball which Rivers has yet to master.
Beal is also very underrated athletically and can rise up with the best of em. All freshmen need time to adjust, so I’m sure by the end of the season he’ll be one of the better freshman in the country.

Dale WorthingtonParticipantBeal sounds incredibly well-rounded. I look forward to watching Florida vs. Syracuse later this week. Florida’s guard play is tremendous, they have Patty Young down low, and a 6’10 SF named Erik Murphy who can pop the 3. Also brought in sharp shooter Rosario from Rutgers to keep Walker, Boynton, and Beal company in the backcourt. Florida has a shot at the National Championship (not saying they’re gonna win it but they certainly can go toe-to-toe with the best of the best). It’ll probably be UNC or Kentucky but watch out for Florida. They’re loaded with talent all over the place. I like Florida more than Duke and Syracuse.

JNixonParticipantHe’s a solid all-around player and he’s physically mature beyond his years. He shoots a pretty ball and he’s a solid athlete who makes smart plays and competes, but he needs to work on his ball-handling skills. That’s the main flaw in his game to me, his shot will certainly come around sooner or later from a percentage standpoint.
He’s not quite the athlete or shooter Ray Allen was/is, not as ball-reliant or as good with the ball in his hands as O.J. Mayo is, nor is he as explosive athletically or as talented a scorer as an Eric Gordon, but he’s a good all-around talent with a naturally sweet shot, good fundamentals on D, and a guy who’s physically and seemingly mentally mature. I don’t have a comparison for him, but he’s going to make a solid pro.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantBeal reminds me alot of Joe Dumars..Similar built, good but not great shooters, decent rebounders, physical and both seem to get their points, while staying within the team concept…

lalailaParticipantwhile Rivers more more looks like one dimensional Brad more and more comes out from this category..no only he can pass a little bit isn’t selfish and gets bigger and bigger (6’4.5 207 in recent reports and just looks at his shoulders who will let him get much bigger in the future) but hi surprised me with his 3 of 6 games where he had 9 10 10 rebounds plus yesterday he blocked three shots..it’s a bit rare for a guard without 40inch vertical
and his big strides agressivenes nice shooting form and overall scoring ability makes me think twice is Lamb already locked the #1 sg place

HitsterParticipantI must say I like the Ray Allen comparison if you consider it applies to Ray’s off the ball play, Brad will never be a shooter like Ray but few players ever will be. I think he has a legit shot to go Top 10 this year if he declares.

kobyzParticipantat the most he remind me Cuttino Mobley but i see also Joe Dumars similarity.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantI’m just not seeing The Gordon/Dumars/Ray Allen comparisons…Like I said before…He’s Lite Mayo…with a serious chance at being a top 10 pick…
He’s a safer pick at 10 then Lamb is in that 3 to 5 range the site has him in right now…
