Tim Hardaway is Michigan’s best player and will need to have a great game to outmatch Memphis’s loaded lineup. The only thing that holds the Tigers back is youth and is what should keep this game close. I think Memphis ends up winning a close one.Vanderbilt vs Oregon StThe final of the Legends Classic will show off two explosive scorers, Jared Cunningham and John Jenkins. Jenkins does most of his damage from beyond the three point line and can light up the scoreboard. Cunningham conversely, uses his athleticism to get to the line and score in transition. Jeffery Taylor will need to step up offensively as well as contain Cunningham for Vandy to get the win.Missouri vs Notre DameNotre Dame should have their best player Tim Abromaitis back for this one and he will be a key against the guard heavy Missouri Tigers. The Irish use a many unheralded glue guys who have had a lot of success so far. Missouri has three great guards, Phil Pressey, Kim English and Marcus Denmon who score most of their points. Their post player, Ricardo Ratliffe will need to solidify the paint and play well for the Tigers to win.WednesdayStanford vs Oklahoma StNice matchup here between two teams that we need to figure out. Stanford goes ten deep and has won all 4 of their games this far. Oklahoma St is led by a trio of wing players, Le’Bryan Nash, Cezar Guerrero, and JP Oluwekemi. I think the Cowboy’s are the better team but never underestimate the power of depth.Virginia Tech vs SyracuseSyracuse is clearly the better team but like the previous matchup, we need to see what Tech is made of. Syracuse’s elite 2-3 zone will also test the offense of the very young and inexperienced Hokies.11/20Game I watched: Old Dominion 52 at* Kentucky 62Old Dominion put up a good fight against a really talented team. The Monarchs are a grind it out, slow the pace team that likes to pound the ball inside. Both of their bigs did an excellent job hitting the glass and scoring inside. The star of this senior laden team is shooting guard, Kent Bazemore. The lefty had a bad shooting performance today with Miller, Lamb, and Gilchrist each guarding him at one point in the game. There was also a chippy part of the game with about 10mins left where the teams exchanged pushes and shoves which exemplified how physical the game had been to that point. Bottom line, I really like this ODU team to win their conference and make the NCAA tourney once again. I had George Mason in the preseason to win the CAA but they have lost a few games they should have won.Now for Kentucky. Jones, Wiltjer and Davis were all tested throughout the game by the physicality of ODU’s bigs and did a great job. Davis fouled out with about 5mins left during an ODU run, but Jones and Wiltjer picked up the slack defensively. Gilchrist played pretty well but he had a few too many turnovers. Speaking of turnovers, Marquis Teague really has a problem holding on to the ball thus far. He is not ready to be a prime time PG yet and has committed a lot of turnovers since he is trying to make the big play instead of the simple play which is killing him. This is why I like Kendall Marshall better as a prospect, he may not have Teague’s athleticism but he is a solid point guard who makes his teammates better instead of putting them in shaky situations. Miller was the reason KU won since he played smart basketball and was able to break the zone to score and find open teammates.Washington 64 at St Louis 77URI 63 at Nebraska 83Iona 89 at* Maryland 63LSU 59 at* Georgia Tech 50USF 49 at* Penn St 53Creighton 82 at Iowa 59Belmont 87 at* Mid Tennessee 84Purdue 56 at* Alabama 65Ole Miss 66 at* Marquette 96Temple 78 at* Wichita St 74Tulsa 75 at* St Joes 79Northwestern 80 at* Seton Hall 73Washington St 83 at Portland 73Tyler Zeller, C UNC- 16pts, 10reb, 3blkJon Henson, PF UNC- 18pts, 14rebHarrison Barnes, SF UNC- 18pts, 7reb, 1stlDexter Strickland, SG UNC- 13pts, 6ast, 6rebKendall Marshall, PG UNC- 1pt, 8ast, 2to’sJames McAdoo, PF UNC- 10pts, 5reb, 3stlMichael Kidd-Gilchrist, SF Kentucky- 13pts, 9reb, 5to’sAnthony Davis, PF/C Kentucky- 11pts, 9reb, 3stl, 3blkMarquis Teague, PG Kentucky- 6pts, 4ast, 6to’s, 2stlTerrence Jones, PF Kentucky- 6pts, 8reb, 5blkDarius Miller, SG Kentucky- 13pts, 3reb, 5ast, 4/7fgJeremy Lamb, SG UConn- 25pts, 2stl, 3blkShabazz Napier, PG UConn- 22pts, 12reb, 13ast, 2stlTyler Olander, PF UConn- 11pts, 10reb, 4/8fg, 18minAndre Drummond, C UConn- 4pts, 2rebTerrence Ross, SG Washington- 17pts, 10reb, 3astTony Wroten, PG Washington- 14pts, 3reb, 5to’sRoyce White, SF Iowa St- 17pts, 7reb, 4ast, 5to’sChris Babb, G Iowa St- 18pts, 6reb, 6ast, 5/5 3ptLamont Jones, SG Iona- 22pts, 4reb, 8/14fgMichael Glover, PF Iona- 19pts, 10reb, 5to’sScott Machado, PG Iona- 15pts, 15ast, 3stl, 0to’sDoug McDermott, SF Creighton- 25pts, 9reb, 10/15fgGreg Echinique, C Creighton- 15pts, 9reb, 2blkCJ Harris, G Wake Forest- 22pts, 4ast, 8/11fgTravis McKie, F Wake Forest- 25pts, 7rebTony Mitchell, SF Alabama- 14pts, 10reb, 6/13fgJaMychal Green, PF Alabama- 14pts, 7reb, 5/8fgLevi Randolph, SG Alabama- 12pts, 7reb, 2ast, played great dTrevor Releford, PG Alabama- 20pts, 4reb, 5astJae Crowder, F Marquette- 25pts, 7reb, 2blk, 9/11fgDJO, SG Marquette- 20pts, 4reb, 4astDrew Crawford, G Northwestern- 27pts, 6reb, 11/15fgJohn Shurna, SF Northwestern- 19pts, 7reb, 4blkJordan Theodore, PG Northwestern- 16pts, 5ast, 4rebHerb Pope, PF Northwestern- 32pts, 9reb, 2blk, 14/17fgChace Stanback, SF UNLV- 20pts, 7reb, 3ast, 3stlMike Moser, PF UNLV- 23pts, 17reb, 6ast, 5stlGilvydas Biruta, PF Rutgers, 17pts, 12reb, 4stlBo Spencer, SG Nebraska- 23pts, 4ast, 3stlSean Mosely, SG Maryland- 21pts, 4reb, 7/12fgLuke Loucks, PG Florida St- 18pts, 5reb, 2astAnthony Hickey, PG LSU- 20pts, 4ast, 8/13fgTim Frazier, PG Penn St- 27pts, 6reb, 3stlEJ Singler, SF Oregon- 21pts, 7reb, 8/10fgDraymond Green, F Michigan St- 9pts, 10reb, 4astRobbie Hummel, F Purdue- 17pts, 5/15fg, 2blkChris Cooper, PF Old Dominion- 17pts, 10rebOrion Outerbridge, PF URI- 24pts, 10reb, 2blkAlex Young, SG IUPUI- 21pts, 14rebToure’ Murray, SG Wichita St- 24pts, 7reb, 3ast, 3to’sRamone Moore, SG Temple- 23pts, 4reb, 3astScottie Haralson, SG Tulsa- 24pts, 6/9fgLangston Galloway, G St Joes- 23pts, 9/11fg, 5/5 3ptKyle O’Quinn, C Norfolk St- 17pts, 12reb, 3blk, 5/7fg, 5to’s0 - Posted on: Mon, 11/21/2011 - 2:41am #608867

JunkYardDogParticipantJ’Covan Brown, Jared Cunningham, Shabazz Napier, Scott Machado are in a very great shape and should be quality 2nd round picks.
Marquis Teague, James McAdoo, Andre Drummond, Anthony Davis are still struggling and will need more time to grow up and mature… they should benefit from staying another year or two in college but they surely won’t as they all will be lottery picks.
Jon Henson looks terific : he ain’t the brandan wright 2.0 anymore. A great exemple of what a player can learn staying in college more than one year : bball IQ, strength, time to mature, skills. He could be a great lottery pick.
One question about J’Covan brown who looked like an underachiever last season and finally is smoking hot. Do you think playing with a true natural pg, as kabongo, is the reason of his success ?

JunkYardDogParticipantmachado is relly improving : shooting 51% from the fields, making only 2 to, improving his ass by more than 7 !!!
his only limits come from his size and his 3pts % (only 20) but nothing more than what was said about lawson…so…

providencefriars1ParticipantI think Brown has done so well because he is their main scoring option since they lost Hamilton, Thompson, Joseph, and Johnson. Playing with Kabongo has helped too as you said.
