It’s been reported that Boston offered Smart, Olynyk, 16 and 28 for Noel and #3. This is by far way a deal in favor of Boston. The #3 pick alone is valuable more than the entire package Boston is offering. I think a more favorable deal would be Smart and #28 straight up for Noel. I think this deal is fair, and will fit a need Philly if Russell is indeed taken by LA at #2. Philly is then able to take Porzingas, if Hinske’s infatuation of him is true.

My question to the board, how do you rate Russell vs Smart? I know Russell’s strengths and weaknesses, but I am not sure of Smart’s since he’s been in the league. Coming in his shot was a weakness, but I read form a post on here a while back that Smart was actually showing his shot has real potential.

He does not attack the hoop well or finish well. He is a limited creator do to his lack of foot speed on the O end. He also is a 2 footed jumper mainly, and is not agile in the air with body control. If he really develops the 3 it will open up some things for him, but some limitations I do not see him getting over. He did not look like a PG much. Bradley in past seasons look better at PG and C’s had more success with him at PG than Smart. Bradley is no PG but Smart was a rook so too early to judge . If I am the Celtics you already have Bradley with a contract playing same role as Smart. Deal him. Smart still has potential but IT is better than I think Smart will ever be already do to his ability to get to the line. Celtics do not need him.

Kham i hate to break the news to you but Smart and number 28?  Your seriously delusional if you think the Sixers would except that.  Noel just had his rookie year and played great.  He already is a top 15 nba defender and hes a big man.  This is a guy sho was going to go 1st overall but teams got scared of his injury.  Since then?  Hes boinced back from injury without the slightest problem and looks excellent.

What does it mean? Noels stock has risen since the draft where he was picked 6.  Smart?  His stock has DROPPED.  He flat out hasent played good enough to impress enough.  He wasnt a hit for where he got drafted.  E

Zero interest in Smart.  And number 28?  You think the 76ers even want number 28?! Lmao.  They have like 5 2nd round picks why get one of the lowest picks in the first round that comes with a much higher guaranteed contract.  Zero interest again.

Realistically i dont think there is ANY trade proposal that the sixers would accept for Boston that could sweep them off their feet to give you Noel.  Hes a keeper.  The Sixers let Boston know also.  They told them no interest in their trade at all.  Trade it dead.

Sorry Boston fan you cant pilfer one of the best young players in the game a 7 foot stud rim protector with your trash.  Boston was even moee delusional then you are did you see thwir offer?  It was halarious.  Bottom line Boston doesnt possess enough assets on their whole team to get Noel let alone for Marcus stinkin Smart and a measly 28th pick.

LOL, you don’t have to hate breaking that news to me. Im not a Celtics fan. Im completing my mock and if LA was to really take Russell, I was deciding if they’ll go for Okafor or Porzingas. My thought is if they traded Noel for Smart (plus other assets) they can take Porzingas who reportedly they love.
