Well now it’s pretty much official. I saw the post earlier but it had said “sources”. Now we know it’s 100%, thoughts?

I would be happy if the S&T for Bosh would be:

Bosh Beasley + Rap’s pick (traded in the stupid JO trade) + MIA pick (at least 1 and hopefully 2 future picks, but i have doubt) + the huge TE that can come in handy + Chalmer (although I don’t really care for him to be included or not)

However, BC seems so reluctant in getting Beasley in return. I still think Beasley can turn into a star in the right situation with the proper mentor(s).

If BC can actually include Calderon in the deal as rumored, then it would be great, but I have serious doubt. I think even Chris Bosh would not want Calderon to go to Miami with him as Calderon’s contract would seriously hinder the Heat’s ability to form a good enough supporting cast for Wade & Bosh combo.

I don’t think it’s going to be a sign and trade with Miami. Toronto let him walk.

The only way that there will be no S&T for Bosh is if LBJ decides to join Bosh & Wade in Miami. In order to fit all 3 of them, they would all need to make paycut just to fit them all on the Miami roster with Beasley.

I have serious doubt that LBJ would join Wade & Bosh and take pay cut because he has been looking at Cavs, Bulls, and Nets more. In this case, Bosh would probably look out for himself more and would try to push the Heat to work out a S&T with Toronto. Wade would certainly get his 6-yr max and I am pretty sure Bosh would want the same deal. Also, the fact that Bosh has less marketing power (endorsement income), he probably would not leave 30 mil on the table.

In this case, the Raptors can have some say in what the Raptors can get in return of a Bosh S&T. Obviously, it wouldn’t be so outrageous, but getting Beasley, Chalmers, a few picks (including rap pick), and the big TE is certainly reasonable.

I think the only thing that is holding the Raptors back is that BC is so unwilling to take on Beasley.

I just hope BC will get fired real soon. He’s a moron that does not know how to manage the salary cap. I can probably do a better job than him.

Yeah, the deal is done. Toronto isn’t getting anything for Bosh.

The Raptors really messed this up, can you imagine how much Colangelo could have got for Chris Bosh at the trade deadline this past season. Crazy package I bet

It is NOT a done deal.

The only thing that is done is that Bosh has decided to go to Miami. It is still uncertain what would Bosh get out of the deal.

The first date that a team can sign a player is TOMORROW (July 8). Until, the player signs, he can still change his mind. The article on ESPN makes it sounds like Bosh will sign directly with the Heat. However, it is just a guess and a potential outcome.

If LBJ will join Wade-Bosh combo in Miami, then I can certainly see Bosh taking paycut to fit LBJ on the roster. However, my point is that LBJ would not join them as Miami has not been on top of his list. If LBJ doesn’t join, then Bosh can certainly try to get the 6yr max money (which he has been pretty vocal about wanting the 6-yr max).

Now that BC knows Bosh would go to the Heat, he can focus on getting a deal with the Heat on a S&T. Obviously, I always think BC is incompetent, so I am not expecting too much. At least, it won’t be a crappy deal like the one with Cleveland.

Could have at least gotten Beasley…I do not get it one bit…Micheal dominated in college and averaged 15 and 7 as Second Banana in Miami with a very ball dominate Wade…and on top the team was clearly waiting on the free agent class of 2010 to replace him…I just hope now this means Beasley can go somewhere Like The Suns or The Thunder…Both Teams have some players to help build Miami’s bench and both Teams could use a potential Star Forward for Cheap

I have been wanting the Raptors to trade Bosh TWO seasons ago. It is not that I don’t like Bosh, but I just don’t see how the Raptors can get good enough supporting cast for Bosh to win anything in Toronto. The major problem is that Bosh was teaming up with Bargnani in the frontcourt. Both are soft and they are both jump shooting big man, they don’t like to bang in the post or score in the post. It’s a combination for failure.

I saw this disaster coming 2 years ago (that Bosh would leave for minimal return).

Obviously, BC has been a failure. I always thought he’s average at best after he drafted Bargnani with the 2006 1st overall pick. He proves to be more and more incompetent year after year.

By the way, I like Bargnani, but I wouldn’t have used a 1st overall pick on him. In 2006, there are 6 players that can potentially be 1st overall (Bargnani, Aldridge, Roy, Gay, Morrison, Thomas). I was hoping BC would have traded down a few spots and pick up an asset then pick up Bargnani or Rudy Gay (as one of them should be available a few spots lower). Since the 2006 draft day, I know BC isn’t that good since he doesn’t know how to take advantage of his assets.

With Bosh and Wade signed, I’m guessing the bench, center and point guard position will be bad. I don’t think they’ll be a top 2 team next year ith those free agents

    Basically
    PG Chalmers (not good)
    SG Wade (excellent)
    SF Beasley (OK)
    PF Bosh (excellent)
    C cheap crap
    Bench: cheap crap

They could trade Beasley for a centre or fillers, but I’m just not convinced this is the next big thing

It’s a done deal. Yessir. The NBA2K servers will be flooded with Heat users next year.

Haslem is not cheap crap and Beasley is not returning.

The Raps cant take Beasley and Chalmers because they have character issues and ownership will not allow that…ownership will not approve it.

Miami is reluctant on giving Toronto the 1st round pick and probally told Bosh his onky in to Miami is walking.

Bosh gets punked out of a Max Contract like hes been punked out of the playoffs.

Raps get punked out of value…

    Miami wins.
