TRC1991ParticipantHe sure has gained some weight over the years and its a shame he never really had that killer instinct, but it amazes me that he’s gone from a guy who cant get off the bench for the worst team in the league to the starting center for the nba’s best team lol
anyways, i just realized that Diaw has played literally every single position in his career, when he was playing with the Hawks I remember his nickname was 3D because he quote "can drive, dish and defend" plus he wears the #3 and his last name is Diaw.
he has a very unique frame and game. he doesn’t really have a position and doesnt do anything amazingly well but he sure can pass for a big man (he probably weighs about 270 now) he’s really streaky but Popovich loves his versatility

The8thDeadlySinParticipantHe was drafted as a PG by the Hawks. Would have been the only 6’9 PG other than Magic in the history of the league.

FastAndFuriousParticipantDude big as hell, I remember when I first saw him this year, I was like WTF! Is that Diaw lol
But Popovich seriously can take ANY player and make them be a contributer to a playoff team, look at Diaw now.
Look at Danny Green who got cut from Cleveland for Manny Harris, and now look at him.

Seamo15ParticipantOnly reason he couldn’t get a game with bobcats was cause Silas hated his attitude

ghettosermonParticipantDiaw ate himself into the Center position. It’s a shame he always struggled to keep his weight in check even in his best years with Phoenix because they guy is very skilled, really shooting is his worst skill and even at that he’s an ok shooter. He just plays in and out of games, doesn’t hustle and his weight has really killed what once was decent athleticism.
