TFCParticipantHello everyone, Raps fan here.
Just read the Bucks are willing to trade Andrew Bogut and apparently proposed this trade to Minnesota – Bogut and #10 for Wolves’ #2.
First thought: if that’s true the Bucks are crazy. Then I say Toronto MUST go for Bogut he might be a little injury prone but he’s arguably 2nd best C in the league, easily a 15&10 guy and great defensive presence. In the past he even said Toronto is one of his favorite NBA cities so…
If the Bucks give up Bogut and a lottery pick just for #2 maybe the Raps can try and work something. I was wondering maybe Bargnani+A.Johnson or Bargs+Bayless could do? Probably a bad trade for Milwaukee, though not much worse than the one with Minnesota imho.
What do you think?

natedogggParticipantif the raps could pare bogut with bargs thatd be huge.
not sure they have the pieces the bucks would to make it happen however.

PulseGlazerParticipantI don’t think that would be enough for Milwaulkee. They’d do it for #2 because they consider Derrick a franchise talent. Do you think Bargs is one? I don’t.

The8thDeadlySinParticipantIs Bogut really on the block or did you just read the topic here that said he should be traded?

PulseGlazerParticipantSources are reporting Mil reached out to Minn for the above deal due to concern over Bogut’s injury. Naturally, the Wolves would need a physical before the deal… which might be tough given the draft is Thursday and I hear Bogut’s in Australia.

rileymcshea3ParticipantI think Demar Derozen and the bucks 10th pick for Bogut and the 5th pick and take Vesely
Then the Rapts have a great complementery front line with Bargani and Bogut sorta like the Mavs with Dirk and Tyson. Then the Rapts could draft Alec Burks and takes Demars spot.
Bucks get Demar Derozen and pair him up with former tenage teammate Brandon Jennings(they use to both on Romeo Millers basketball team ).Then with the 5th pick they could Jonas Valancius and take Boguts spot or take Kawhi for his defense or Vesely for his athleticism.

PulseGlazerParticipantI don’t know that you want to trade Demar right now. He isn’t very developed, sure, but his rapid development bodes well for his future and the rest of his game. TMAC-lite in time? The potential is there, the work ethic is there. Keep him.

rileymcshea3ParticipantYeah but with that trade you get Bogut and Barganni paired up and then take alec burks to replace demar

PulseGlazerParticipantI understand. It depends how high you are on Burks, tbh, and how high you are on Bargs. With Casey coaching, this kind of move could pay huge dividends, but what if the Bobcats take Burks? Then you’re kind of screwed.

rileymcshea3ParticipantTHEN IF Burks is gone you take Klay Thompson .ESPN analys Doug Gottlieb as him as the 5th best prospect in this draft

r377ParticipantI can’t believe they would do that….quality centres are hard to find.
he did struggle with this shoulder/elbow (can’t remember) but tried to play through the pain as it wasn’t healed properly. he even struggled to make the distance on his free throws….
The injury he got when he fell from hanging on the ring was one of the nastiest bball injures ive ever seen…

CanArmyGoRapsParticipantFranchise C’s don’t grow on trees. Even if it takes Demar and the 5th I say do it (even though I love DeRozan as a Rap). Bogut and Bargs is a formidible front court but the bucks pick would have to be included. Who else could the raps include to get the deal done though?
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/20/2011 - 3:44am #547547

The8thDeadlySinParticipantWell if Bargs is moving to the PF spot, there is a log jam there with Bargs, Johnson, Davis, Evans..
0- Posted on: Mon, 06/20/2011 - 3:55am #547555

CanArmyGoRapsParticipantI think they would need to include a PF for money reasons and to clear the log jam. Amir maybe? I’d hate to give up DeRozan and Davis.

PulseGlazerParticipantI don’t like Klay on the Raps, but to each. I suppose if Kawhi falls, you could grab him, or reach a bit for Singleton, and be fine.

PulseGlazerParticipantCan – Remember, everything doesn’t have to be done in 1 deal.

TFCParticipantIf there’s a chance to get Bogut then the Raptors should work hard to make it happen. Don’t know if we have the right pieces for a trade, but if the Bucks would really pack Bogut and #10 just for Wolves’ #2 then it means Milwaukee would listen to pretty much any offer.
Personally I’m very high on Bogut, and as much as I like Bargs and DD I would gladly trade one of them – not both though – to get a franchise C like Bogut

CanArmyGoRapsParticipantMoney wise trade that would work:
To TOR: Bogut and #10
To MIL: DeRozan, Calderon and #5
Then try to move a PF to get a back-up PG (Bayless the new starter)

NashyMingParticipantAs a Raptors fans, I have no interest in Andrew Bogut.
Would have to give up way too much to get him and he hasn’t been fully healthy for quite a while. 7-footer usually takes more wear and tear and I wouldn’t give up a lot to get him. It’s not worth the risk.
I wouldn’t trade anyone of DeRozan, Ed Davis, #5 because I don’t see we can get anything better on a good deal.

BBall4life88ParticipantI suggested this trade earlier and got negged…lol. And as much as I like this trade for the Wolves there is obviously injury concerns there, and that seems to be a common conern with tall NBA centers…most are very injury prone. So although I think it’s a great deal for MN it’s a gamble. This is why I’m kind of leaning towards Bismack, I believe he’s agile and can stay healthy.

TFCParticipanthonestly if I’m Minnesota I make that deal in a heartbeat. They don’t seem much interested in that #2 so to get an elite C like Bogut plus another asset in pick #10 would be something
