SupParticipantWould he get Sprewell’d in the process? Sure, but every champion needs discipline and he would instill it.

QHaynes20OMG, get out of here. Where is he gonna go?
There’s a reason he never went to the NBA- Control

SupParticipantHe hasn’t gone to the NBA be because he’s too old to open his mind. But he would make a good NBA coach.

QHaynes20No he hasn’t gone to the NBA because he does not have alot of control as he does in college

SupParticipantYou get control in the NBA by winning, which I think he would do.

JoeWolf1His lost his control at Texas Tech the last few years. He is too old school to relate to today’s players. They respect him and what he has done as a coach, but his last couple years at Texas Tech he couldn’t pull in top recruits ( as a 900 win coach in a major conference) or even get those players to make the NCAA tournament on a regular basis. That being said, he may have been able to pull it off in the 80’s, but not now.

SpencerIsHawesome2Participantplayers dont respond to toughness from a coach like they used to. phil jackson-esque coaches are what you need now-a-days. sometimes tough, usually not.

SupParticipantPlayers arent as good as they used to be either…maybe thats what they need. Just sayin.
P.S. Speaking of players not being as good as they used to be willl everyone (in the country) please stop hyping Rondo because he got triple doubles in the first round against Derrick Rose who was arguably the dumbest basketball player in the league last yr (basketball wise.)

JNixonParticipantYea, Bob Knight would have a stroke with the way players conserve their energy for offense in the NBA, and play loose D until the 3rd and 4th qtrs. No NBA player would appreciate how abrasive he is. He’s not a good fit in the NBA.

SupParticipantDidn’t say they’d like him, just said they would win a championship. And who doesn’t want a ring?

llperezI could just see Bob knight putting his hands on a player like he did that one kid at Indiana. I don’t think Knight and the NBA would mesh.
