He just said: “Pittman has alot of trouble for someone his size elevating and finishing in traffic or through contact. For him to take his game to the next level, he has to find a way to improve upon that.”

The reason I bring this up is because in a topic a few weeks back (when Texas played UConn) I said Pittman was a poor finisher through contact and he had poor elevation which didn’t help him either. But SOMEONE said that no one would say Pittman was a poor finisher. There you have it. I call em like I see em lol.

With that said, I really do think James Anderson should be a top 20 type prospect. He’s a dynamite scorer and shooter.

Bob Knight also said Stephen Curry was the best passer he’d EVER seen, so be careful lol…

James Anderson can maybe be a top 20 pick. Depends on the way the lottery shakes out

Nobody said Curry was a bad passer….but Bob Knights been alive long enough to name about 50 guys that are better passers

And as for Pittman, he has the combination of size and strength to be an excellent finisher….lets see how he improves

maybe he believes what he said about Curry I have seen a few of the passes Curry have made and these were still in college and they took vision and skill to put it on the money from almost halfcourt. I know what you are saying but if next year Curry is averaging 10 or more assists maybe Knight wasnt talking out his rear end afterall.

bob knight earlier this year said that wesley johnson is the best player in college today. Leaving out the obvious, when did evan turner die?

He hasn’t regressed, he just is having a tougher time with conference play. Texas had a pretty solid non-conference, but I think Pittman’s early season play lead people to think he is better than he is, he is in great shape and has improved his body every season, but for an 82 game schedule fatigue is going be a factor. I just think it was funny how people were dubbing him a 1st team all-american while saying Aldrich was having a poor season. Conference play is a step up always, you can really see what a player is made up especially in a big conference like the ACC, Big East and in Pittman’s case the Big 12, I still think the right team could take him in the last 8 picks of the 1st because of the lack of Centers outside the lottery, but he is most likely a 2nd rounder, and I’ll say it again the Stanley Roberts comparison by the site is spot on.

    ^ JoeWolf I agree

Pittman had me fooled early on in the season.  I thought he was better than he actually is. At one time i thought Pittman had passed Damion James as being a better pro prospect but that definitely isn’t the case. If anything now I think Pittman’s stock is dropping while James’s stock is on the rise.

I actually agree with what Bob Knight said about Pittman. He does seem not to jump very high. I think he will get his shot blocked a lot in the pros. Cousins is the same way but Cousins is craftier around the basket than PIttman is & should have an easier time getting his shot off due to his better offensive post skills.

i still think pittman is a good player, but the dude is 280 lbs. he’s not going to get super elevation and he is only 6′-10″. i would disagree that he isn’t a good finisher. i think the problem is at the beginning of the season against unc and michigan st. the texas guards were nailing shots from the outside. a little bit before the k-state game, the guards have been unproductive on the outside. teams are collapsing on pittman more, which is affecting his stats. pittman also has seemed to be getting into foul trouble early in every game lately.

i’m a huge texas fan and they are starting to look a lot like last year’s team where they only have 1 good shooter a game. last year, abrams stepped up every game. this year it seems that it’s either hamilton or bradley hitting jays.

as far as curry being a good passer. well, when you are double and triple teamed every game like he was, there are going to be people open. not knocking curry cause he was a special player.

Listen to Knight this time..He might never be right again..lol..He must’ve talked to some scouts that was at the game..Becuz some scouts had Pittman listed as a mid or late 2nd round pick..thats why he came back to Texas ..To try to improve his stock…In their eyes he hasnt done much this year to elevate his game……….

Died against North Carolina when he has a triple double with points, rebounds, and 11 turnovers.

He lost them that game, just saying.

The best player in college basketball is John Wall, and to be honets I frickin hate that fact.

Dont take things like the best seriously. Maybe he means in a season, or he is just using hyperbole. I dont think Bob Knight would tell you Steph Curry is a better passer than John Stockton, he was just trying to make his ESPN insert interesting. He is the best college basketball analyst I’ve heard in a long time and every single thing he says is usually on the money. I like Bilas because I hate dook, and he doesnt slurp on them all day like everybody else does and if they are slow or soft he is the first to say. Thats a good, objective commentator. Gottlieb is the biggest self righteous, stupid piece of lard and has never said anything IMO that wasn’t blatantly obvious.
