valentineJaron Blossomgame of Clemson filed his paperwork for this year’s NBA Draft. He won’t hire an agent, so for now he’s testing the waters. New Mexico State’s coach also hinted Pascal Siakam will do the same.
So with the new NCAA rule of player withdrawals, the old testing the process model is back!
Siakam should stick the iron, since he won’t be any better next year. But I think Blossomgame should come back to the improving Clemson team.

zolaParticipantI like when players stay at school, especially when they aren’t ready, but in Blossomgame’s case, he should definitely declare. He is 93. so he is a year older for his class. Another year at Clemson wouldn’t mean much for him, Clemson won’t contend for anything
Siakam should also declare. He’s playing in weak conference, so he could improve more at some other place

warson24Think you said that about Seton Hall too…
Clemson won’t be a powerhouse, but at least was relevant at some kind this year.

Bankroll PJParticipantJaron turns 23 in September and is coming off of a breakout year so I think he has to go now

IlladelphParticipantWith the changed NCAA rules regarding the draft, all players who think they have a shot to get drafted should declare. They should all go to the combine and take their one team workout, and get real feedback from NBA execs what their status truly is leading up to the draft. There is probably going to be a higher number of kids declaring for the draft since it costs them nothing in terms of eligibility, and they will still get to return to play for their colleges. Heck, if you are a borderline pick, you should go no matter what just to learn about theprocess and talk to NBA folks about your stock and what you can do to improve over the next year.

OhCanada-ParticipantWhy are you assuming Siakam won’t be better next year? He’s probably going to continue improving as a basketball player in general for the next 8 years. His development does not stop just because he has reached elite NCAA status.

mamadouParticipantSiakam is a 22YO sophomore officially….while he’s probably 26.
No he won’t improve for the next 8 years nor he would be a 26-13 junior.
It’s tiiiiiiime.

r377ParticipantFor his size, Blossomgame is a hell of a rebounder.
He does have the low shot release. Does he have a decent jump shot off the dribble ?
