This just in – the Celtics and Thunder have reached a tentative deal (pending physicals) which will send Jason Terry, Kevin Garnett, Jared Sullinger, and Antoine Walker to the Thunder in exchange for Anthony Roberson and Russell Westbook (Source #1 is http://www.nbadraft.net/forum/westbrook-cs).  Not only that, but another source (http://www.nbadraft.net/forum/blake-and-westbrook-celtics) indicates that the Celtics might be close to completing a deal that would send Amir Johnson, James Young, Guerschon Yabusele (sad to see him go), Jonas Jerebko, Ante Zizic, Terry Rozier, and Ben Bentil to the Clippers for Blake Griffin, Pablo Prigioni, and Doc Rivers.  Wow – as a long times Celtics Thug, I did not see this happening.  The Celtics lineup should look something like as follows next year:

    PG – Westbrook, IT, Prigioni

    SG – Bradley, Smart, Hunter

    SF – Brown, Crowder

    PF – Griffin, Mickey

C – Horford, Olynyk Effect, Zeller (if he resigns)

Ainge is a genius to keep all the Nets Pick and have a two headed headcoaching monster of Stevens and Rivers.  You have to like the C’s chance as at least the 2 seed in the East (although don’t discount the Pacers!)  You do have to hand it so the Clippers for at least snatching Yabusele, but I think the Thunder got a little desparate in settling for some older superstars and an out of shape Sullinger who just bought a house in Toronto.  Although I think KG will be a great mentor to Steven Adams and Anthony Morrow.

Dumb threads like this only serve to push better threads/topics down or off the page. This is a good site and good forum, Let’s try to keep it that way.

Yes, the posts about Ibaka being an all star and Tyler Ulis were rivetting.  I prefer the other posts such as "Westbrook to the C’s," "Blake and Westbrook to the Celtics" and "Celtics super team on the way coming soon."  Much more pertinent to today’s 2 team league.

If the Celtics want a star Danny Ainge should pull his head out of his ass and sign Adam Morrison. Could be that 30 point a game transcendent player to lead the Celtics back to glory. I really feel Brad Stevens could get the best out of him. He has championship experience 2 rings with the Lakers.

Greg Kite could start for the Warriors next year.

Man, I am NOT a Celtics fan, but it would be really, really cool if they could form a super team too!

If OKC is shopping Russ, then they should ask for Marcus Smart, Jaylen Brown, Kelly Olynyk, and a future first round pick or two…

Warriors and Cavs are looking good.  The Bulls should at least be interesting.  The Spurs are good but they lost Tim Duncan.

I think we need another top shelf team out there.

Right now, not too many HORRIBLE/HOPELESS teams out there, and there are PLENTY of teams in the middle, but not enough at the TOP.

I would rather have at least 3 or 4 teams with legit title chances…

If the C’s can get Blake and Russ then the East would be LOADED with Cavs and Celtics clearly at the top, the Raptors are good, and then the Bulls and Knicks are solid, too.

A potential FINAL FOUR would be Warriors, Cavs, Celtics, and probably the Spurs.  Although the 2nd WCF slot is pretty wide open…

Raps, Grizz, Bulls, Knicks, and Blazers would be some nice mid-card teams…

The Thunder could bounce back REALLY quickly if they got a haul of Smart, Jaylen Brown, Olynyk, a future pick, and probably some contracts back…  they wouldn’t be good this year, would probably miss the playoffs, then if they get a high pick in next summer’s draft, ALONG with a Celtics pick at some point (I would ask for a future 1st and TWO future 2nd round picks), all they would have to do is wait for the Warriors’ top heavy super team to peak.
