cycloParticipant6’8″.
Can you say Michael Beasley?
Marcus Fizer anyone?Don’t be surprised if legit 6’10” Jordan Hill or 6’11” Greg Monroe become the more dominant PFs on the next level.
So go ahead. Tout Blake Griffin as this franchise player. You were touting Michael Beasely last year also.

joecheck88ParticipantBlake Griffin is way more athletic than fizer. He jumps higher and is quicker and faster, that translates to todays nba game. paul millsap is getting 15 and 10 with regular minutes. he is only about 6′ 8″ and griffin is more athletic than him. griffin could be a 22 and 12 guy in the league, but at worst he is a 16 and 8 guy which is way better than marcus fizer. As for Beasley, he hasn’t played a whole season yet. If he was getting the minutes Rose and Mayo were, he would be putting up close to 20 points and 6 or 7 rebounds a game. His percentages are decent and he is learning from dwayne wade. Why can’t beasley be a franchise player, he is 20 years old. Monroe may be a good player in the league, but jordan hill is going to be a bust if he is a top 5 pick. he is at best a 15 and 7 rebound guy, which would be good for a team after the number 5 pick.

DanEboyParticipantThe guy doesn’t even have a year under his belt and people on this site are writing him off already. The guy has shown flashes of the player he is going to be…a stud. People were saying last year at this time that Durant was overrated because his shooting %s were so low. I think he has answered those critics. Beasley will be a 20 & 10 guy i believe.

PennycentsParticipantWell if he is 6’8 well then he will have to work a little harder but there are plenty of good NBAers that were 6’8 or so that play or played big like brand and barkley now im not comparing them to him but dont say he cant do it and beasly is not playing big thats a big reason he hasent played as well when your standing out jackin up threes all day you dont rebound and he dosent play like a big anyother way either so thats an unfair comparison and fizer give me a break.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/26/2009 - 9:34am #142454

TimberTrollParticipantWho cares how tall he is. Wait until we find out how long his standing reach is. You don’t block shots with your head.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/26/2009 - 9:51am #142456

tuck243ParticipantThe only player averaging more rebounds and points than Mike Beasley, while playing around the same minutes is Charlie Villanueva…. And he’s only averaging 1 rebound and 3 points more, while playing a additional 3 mins. and STARTING… Mike is a Rookie… I think telling you these facts, you should think about what you are saying!!!
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/26/2009 - 9:54am #142457

tuck243ParticipantBlake will be cool… He gets better every year and his game is polished more than Fizers ever was….

LvilleHoops09ParticipantWhere are you getting these reports cyclo? ESPN.com(world wide leader in sports!) has Griff listed at 6’10. He is clearly 2-3 inches taller than his Bro (listed at 6’7″). As for Monroe, he isnt a banger and never will be. he is a finesse guy and i wouldnt be suprised if he saw time at the 3, due to his athleticism and intangibles. Here are some Monroe rebound numbers: 5 boards vs. UL, 3 vs. Tennessee, 4 vs. Marquette, 3 vs. UConn, and only double digit rebounds on 4 occasions. Griff is a Banger/Baller/Gansta and he will compete at a very high level next year, undoubtedly.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/26/2009 - 11:01am #142465

butidonthavemoneyMilsap is only 6-6 or 6-7. Blake Griffen doesn’t need to be as tall as Hill or Monroe to be the better player.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/26/2009 - 11:45am #142469
canesboy6Participantpoint bieng, Height Isn’t everything. If he is only 6’8, which I kinda doubt if anything he is like 6’8 3/4 barefoot which is about 6’10 in shoes anyways, but even If he is a flat 6’8, thats really not that short for a power forward. It’s not tall, but its just about average, especially with his chizzled build he wont have size problems. In college, guys he is bigger than aren’t fast enough to keep up with him. In the pro’s guys bigger than him dont stand a chance. My comparison with him is an Amare like player, but with an all around game geared towards winning. The kid is a winner, will be an allstar several times and has 0 chance of bieng a bust like Fizer. At the absolute worst he would be Kenyon Martin before the injuries, who was starting to look pretty good with Jason Kidd and the Nets and never really was able to hit his peak. Kid is a starter his whole career, bottom line, and probably more. Beasley too, give the poor guy a break he is A ROOKIE, and is a solid contributer on a playoff team. What the hell more could you expect?
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/26/2009 - 1:55pm #142489

cdmPSU17ParticipantThe difference between these two is that Blake Griffin has the drive and will to succeed and become the best player he can, and myself and a lot of others, I’m sure, never really saw that intensity and fire in Beasley. Both have the talent, but the best NBA players actually put in the work to maximize their potential. Regardless of whether Griffin is 6′ 10″ or 6′ 8″, he can be a great NBA player soon.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/26/2009 - 3:06pm #142497

Pistol Pete. The PelicanParticipantthe game of basketball is going back to shorter power forwards or long/thin athletic forwards, just think the last few paul milsap, chuck smith, brandon bass, jared dudley, leon powe, carlos boozer of the thin athletic ones like tyrus thomas, hakim warrick, josh smith, and darrel arthur
and look at college with tyler hansbrough, varnado from mississippi state, tasmin mitchell(who could play either forward), dejuan blair, patrick patterson, jeff adrien, trevor booker so……..
blake griffin at 6’8 will still be better than most of those players except for maybe carlos boozer, josh smith, and i’m still holding out on my hometown kids tyrus thomas and brandon bass-they both have flashes when they consistently get minutes, and another louisiana kid milsap is also a beast
so blake griffin-rookie year 13 and 7, career 19 and 9
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/26/2009 - 3:13pm #142498
bbalking37ParticipantI agree with most people in that Blake Griffin will do just fine. Of the numerous short PF’s that have been mentioned I’m surprised no one said Elton Brand. While is definitely a lot thicker than Griffin, it proves that height isn’t everything. If it were, guys like Manute Bol and Shawn Bradley would have been the greatest players ever. There’s a certain point when skill trumps physical stature and I believe Griffin has enough basketball talent to overcome his shortcomings. That said Monroe may turn out to be a better pro than Griffin (Hill will not be I can assure you of that) but at this point in the game it would be wise to take Griffin over him because of the assurance that he will be a solid performer.

jorrye24Dont write off beasley this fast man, he will be a 20 10 guy next year guaranteed. But dont read too much in the blake grffin size thing, he is a good athlete (even 4 nba standaRDS) with long arms and exceptional strength. He will be a bull in the nba 2…
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/26/2009 - 5:22pm #142519

Henry25ParticipantIm sick and tired of hearing people talk trash about Blake Griffin, the dude is an absolute animal on the court. He has the intensity, athleticism, and with an improving skill set who cares if he is only 6′ 8” (even though i still think he is a legit 6′ 10”). In case anyone hasn’t noticed, there really aren’t that many huge power forwards anymore nowadays. Blake Griffin is gonna be an absolute stud once he gets to the pros, mark my words. I think he is a mix between Shawn Kemp (pre-drug problems) and Carlos Boozer. I dont know bout ya’ll but ill take that type of player any day. He won’t fail
0 - Posted on: Fri, 02/27/2009 - 5:23am #142547
joecheck88Participanta lot of big power fowards get drafted high, like dwight howard, amare stoudemire, and pau gasol. but guess what they all end up playing center for the most part of their careers. if griffin is 6′ 8″, it only helps him because that will keep him at strictly power forward where he can dominate bigger guys with his speed and athleticism or over power smaller guys on the block.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 02/27/2009 - 6:01am #142549
tbp82ParticipantI agree with the supporters of Blake Griffin. This guy is an absolute beast he will at least be on Paul Millsaps level when Boozer was out and that is borderline all-star level. With that being said don’t count out Greg Monroe he has the most upside of anyone in this year’s draft. What is scary is that Griffin could be the next Boozer while Monroe turns into the next Chris Bosh. Both the guys are great but right now you got to go with Griffin. Two seasons from now Monroe might make you regret that. Oh one other note I think Hill is a hustle energy type guy nothing more. He can help a good team become great but on a bad lottery team he wouldn’t help at all.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 03/02/2009 - 3:40am #142687
edoom06ParticipantIt still boggles the mind when people throw height out there when talking about a prospect, height is not a deal breaker when it comes to NBA potential. Hakeem the Dream was 6’10” in shoes but dominated in an era when there were legit dominate 7+ footers in the game. Charles Barkley was probably 6’5″ on a good day and was untouchable on the box. Calvin Murphy was 5 foot nuthin and did work back in the day. Wes Unseld 6’8″ going toe to toe with Wilt the Stilt. Joe Dumars was 6’3″ and more than held his own on a nightly basis against the Jordans and Reggie Millers of the NBA (real BIG guards). I could go all day with this but what I’m saying is if your special your special….period. Blake Griffin is special.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 03/02/2009 - 3:44am #142688
edoom06Participanti forgot to throw in one of my all time favorite players Larry “Grand mama” Johnson (before the back went out) 6’7″ and was on his way to being one of the dominate power forwards in the game before the back injury sucked out his explosiveness
0 - Posted on: Tue, 03/03/2009 - 1:03am #142741
ipowersParticipantI think that he is a legit 6-9 maybe 6-10 in shoes. His wingspan will be very important. Comparing Greg Monroe and Blake Griffin is ridiculous. They are completely different types of players and bring something different to the table. Charles Brakley was 6-4 3/4 barefoot which is right at 6-6 in shoes, and like I always say, the game is played in shoes, so let’s kill that myth about Barkley. Michael Beasley is fine at 6-8 because he has a much more skilled offensive game than Griffin because he can step out and shoot the long ball, so being 6-8 isn’t necessarily a bad thing for him. Larry Johnson was one of the more overrated players of all time. He was a big strong guy who was a glorified garbage player. All of his buckets came within 5 feet of the basket, which doesn’t suggest much skill level. He later developed a long range game after he lost his explosion, but when he was in his prime he was just a brute inside. If you took 30 pounds off of LJ’s body what was he ?
0 - Posted on: Tue, 03/03/2009 - 2:49am #142742
edoom06ParticipantWhy you bangin on LJ? I said he was one of MY all time favorites not the best in the world or something. I’m sure we all have our favorite players that everyone is not gonna agree on. I just thought the dude was a beast (in his prime) and I liked to watch him do work. As far as Chucky goes he himself says he is closer to 6’5″ than anything else and he says that all the time. My point was lets not get caught up on the height, special players over come that.

armangriffin will never have 22 12 season
0 - Posted on: Thu, 01/28/2010 - 8:19am #251403

IndianaBasketballParticipantWhy you say that? He’s a great rebounder, so averaging 12 isn’t out of the question. He’ll be a 15 point scorer next season. I don’t see why he can’t average 22 eventually.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 01/28/2010 - 11:28am #251451

It doesn’t look good for Luke Babbitt.

JoeWolf1He also thinks that everyone plays basketball barefoot too. Griffin measured 6’10” in shoes, I tried to tell him Cole Aldrich was 6’11” in shoes and he said it didn’t matter beacuse he measured 6’9” in socks so he was vastly undersized.

cycloParticipantBlake Griffin measured 6’8.5″ without shoes.
Why is that so far off?
And the original post is from Feb. 2009 when it was reported that Griffin may end being shorter than his listed height.
Wasn’t there pre-draft camp speculation to that effect?
People here were touting Blake Griffin as a FRANCHISE PLAYER.
He wasn’t then and he isn’t now.
Who thinks Blake Griffin is a franchise player now?

0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 10:04am #360077
cycloParticipantBlake Griffin is Carlos Boozer on defense.
Not much of a defender or shot blocker (1.2 blocks per game in college is pathetic).
Blocked fewer shots per game in college than Michael Beasley.
He’s athletic, but his max vertical is 35.5 inches.
Don’t overhype the guy.

butidonthavemoney/
That was my first post ever on this site.
Haha
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 10:16am #360089
cycloParticipantStill undersized for a guy with a pathetic 28 inch max vertical. That’s less hops than Troy Murphy and Nick Collison.
Max Vertical:
Troy Murphy 34.5 inches.
Nick Collison 33 inches
Cole Aldrich 28 inchesCall him 6’10” with shoes if you want, but he’s not 6’11” minus the fake lifts.
And he was a worse offensive player in college than Joel Pryzbilla and Eric Montross who at least weren’t undersized for the position.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 10:25am #360096

JoeWolf1Yeah, he doesn’t have Robert Dozier shot blocking potential…pathetic
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 10:27am #360095
cycloParticipantDirk is 7’0″. His height really helps him get his shot off.
But if Dik were 6’8″ or 6’9″ would he be as good?
Nope.
Think he’d be a player like Babbitt who shares the same offensive skills minus 3-4 inches.

Blake Griffin in college:
0.8 blocks per game in ’07-08.
1.2 blocks per game in ’08-09.0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 10:38am #360113

Troy Murphy 6’9.75″
Channing Frye 6’9.5″
Cole Aldrich 6’9″
Nick Collison 6’8.75″Max Vertical:

Nick Collison 33 inches
Channing Frye 31 inches
Cole Aldrich 28 inches0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 10:39am #360114

JNixonParticipantAll that shows is that Griffin isn’t a truly good shot-blocker, which is true. It doesn’t, however, give relevant facts about his impact as an overall player. You can be an extremely effective NBA player without getting a bunch of blocked shots.
And the fact that you’re NEVER right makes you never believable

Thus far, I see you’ve failed to do so.

Do you think Blake Griffin is a FRANCHISE PLAYER and will you stand by that statement?

McWinningParticipantAll stand by that griffin will be an All Star very soon.
Not sure about franchise player.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 10:52am #360132

mikeyvthedonParticipantWith shoes, where you add about 1.25 inches, that makes him about 6’10. Why do you dislike Blake Griffin? Wait until you see him play an NBA game before totally writing him off. He was very unlucky and his expectations wwere very high, which made the spotlight on his injury even worse. It is not like people were expecting him to revolutionize his position, but he is a good, hardworking and athletic player with nice upside. He is also incredibly strong, which is a great thing to have for someone with his athleticism. He may not be a franchise player, but than again, people write off Greg Oden saying the same thing. At the same time, tell me that teams would not want to have those two guys just for the chance they stay healthy? If they are both healthy, they are both better than most players at their position on any given night, simple as that. That is why they both went #1, and if they ever get the chance to stay on the court, than it will be very evident.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 11:09am #360153
cycloParticipantI asked you a simple question and you failed to answer it.
Do you believe Blake Griffin is a FRANCHISE PLAYER?
Even Clippers’ fans don’t think he is.
I refuted the people here who thought Blake Griffin was a franchise player in ’09… just as I refuted people elsewhere who thought Michael Beasley was a franchise player in ’08 (guess who was right?).
That you keep giving thumbs down to posted statistical facts and actual measurements tells me you can’t deal with the facts. How are the facts I’ve posted “wrong”?
You must believe Cole Aldrich has a better max vertical than Troy Murphy, Nick Collison and Channing Frye. Do you believe this?
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 11:18am #360164

JNixonParticipantOh so you just post facts? What’s the post of that? I can read stats anywhere. That doesn’t make you smart. It actually makes it look like you don’t watch basketball. And I have to doubt that you watch any of the players you talk about play…
And yes, I think Blake Griffin will become the best player on the Clippers. I don’t thnik he’ll be an elite franchise player like a Kobe or Kevin Durant, but he’ll be the best player for the Clippers in the future, which will make him a franchise player.
I don’t know what it is about a few of you people on this site this week saying I gave myself and take peoples points. I don’t care enough about you or the point system to do that. I only give points….Never do I take away points or give myself points. I have more important things to do on here.
I don’t think he has a better vertical than any of them. But I do think he’ll provide a more valuable defensive and rebounding presence than any of those guys. And that’s what he was drafted for. That is something your “facts” will tell you too….lol.
You are a joke
0- Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 12:01pm #360245
cycloParticipantNo. You’re the joke.
I already posted that Cole Aldrich is better defensively than Murphy, Frye and Collison. So? He’d still be nothing but a scrub backup C on most NBA teams…. unless your team is starting Nick Collison at C… in which case Aldrich becomes an upgrade.
Still not impressed with him.
A 3 inch shorter version of Joel Pryzbilla isn’t what I’d want starting at C.

0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 11:47am #360224
cycloParticipantI just don’t think he’s a franchise player.
When people were hyping Blake as a franchise player in ’09 and Beasely in ’08, I said they’re not.
When people were speculating about their heights prior to those drafts, I posted the speculation. Beasely turned out to undersized at 6’7″ without shoes, while Blake measured 6’8.5″ without shoes. Beasely is a tweener at the NBA level, while Blake is a legit PF. Still, Blake isn’t much of a defender or shot blocker (just 1.2 blocks per game in college) with only a 6’11.25″ wingspan which may contribute to his not being a shot blocker. Short arms for a PF. By comparison, Blake’s 6’11.25″ wingspan is shorter than players such as PF Jeff Green 7’1.25″ and even SF Thaddeus Young 6’11.5″.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 11:48am #360227
McWinningParticipantAnd Robert Dozier too right.
So basically your a bust if your too short, and have a short wingspan?
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 11:50am #360230

butidonthavemoneyBlake Griffin is shorter than Channing Frye.
Therefore he will be a bust.
Look at me. I’m a scout.
0- Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 12:34pm #360294
cycloParticipantBlake Griffin has better skills and more athleticism than Channing Frye.
That’s why Blake Griffin is better.
It’s about more than height.
It’s about skills.
At the C position, Cole Aldrich is shorter than Joel Pryzbilla and Eric Montross, but his offensive skills are no better than theirs were coming out of college. That doesn’t bode well, except on Oklahoma City where he’d be a defensive upgrade over Nick Collison who’s been playing out of position at C.

JNixonParticipantOuch. My feelings are now hurt :/
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 12:05pm #360254
McWinningParticipantYouve just been insulted by the person who said Tyrese Rice, is better than Ty Lawson.
Doesnt it sting?
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 12:06pm #360255

JNixonParticipantAll the way to the core timmahforprez….All the way to the core….I think I might cut my wrist smh
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 12:47pm #360307
cycloParticipantI never said Tyrese Rice is better than Ty Lawson.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 12:49pm #360310

JNixonParticipant^Yeah you did! We pulled the thread yesterday and saw it! Why would we make that up? Wouldn’t that be EXTREMELY random to make something like that up?
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 12:53pm #360314
cycloParticipant…has still failed to refute even a single point.
When statistical, numerical and player measurement facts are presented, he simply claims they’re “wrong” and then provides no examples and no supporting evidence.

Now who made it up….Stupid ass boy
0- Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 1:05pm #360338
cycloParticipantYou did make it up, because nowhere did I say Rice was better.
Lawson did get owned by Rice those two games, which is all that thread was about.
How is that thread wrong, considering Lawson DID get owned?
Again, where exactly did I say Rice was better?
I’m afraid that statement is nowhere to be found.
Wrong again, JNixon-Iggy9.
I love it.
Not only are you stupid. You can’t read!

McWinningParticipantDid you show us any of Blake Griffins stats besides his blocks?
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 1:09pm #360347
- Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 1:10pm #360349

JNixonParticipantYour exact words were: “This is for every fool who thinks Ty Lawson is better just because he’s on North Carolina.”
How can you lie when the proof is in your face?
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 1:12pm #360355
cycloParticipantBlake’s a good offensive player and rebounder, but he leaves a lot to be desired on the defensive end.
Not a franchise player.
0- Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 4:53pm #360599
mbdParticipantHe was OU’s best player he couldnt afford to get into foul trouble thats why he didnt get as many blocks as he should. But he is a franchise player this year will prove it.
0
- Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 1:22pm #360364

JNixonParticipantHow in the HELL does that not show that you said Rice was better??? Thats EXACTLY what it says lmao
We pulled up all kinds of threads you were wrong about man….You’re not right about anything you project. All you do is pull up stats. Stats that everyone knows. I’m done arguing with you. You’re seriously stupid.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 1:23pm #360362
cycloParticipantAgain, that statement doesn’t say I believed Rice was better.
Who cares anyway? I saw Rice own Lawson twice.
That was long before the ’09 draft.
Later, during the ’09 NCAA tournament, I believed Lawson was clearly better.
You’ll have to find more examples than just one.
One isn’t a bad track record, especially when I stated that Lawson was better prior to the ’09 draft.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 1:34pm #360371
cycloParticipantNo. You’re seriously stupid.
That’s not what it says at all. Can you read?
Back in Jan ’09, I said Lawson got owned by Rice twice. He did.
What’s the big deal about that?
Back then, I said people shouldn’t think Lawson is better just because he went to North Carolina. So?
In the weeks prior to the ’09 draft, I said Lawson was clearly better.
Why ignore the fact that I said Lawson was better prior to the ’09 draft?
In fact, I had Lawson in my ’09 mock lottery.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 1:51pm #360382

sheltwon3Participantwow going back to old posts, interesting. I wish people could back to the old post where i said Curry would be a great point guard and I said Phoenix Suns would definitely make the playoffs now that they have a coach in Gentry that likes to run and they got rid of Shaq.
I am just curious about that.
Blake Griffen plays in shoes and is going to be a stud and will be an All Star.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 2:13pm #360401
McWinningParticipantOkay right after i pull up the thread where you said Ramon Sessions is top five point guard.
Lol i know youve been right a lot, ive been right before (probably less) but still all of us have been right before except Cyclo.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 3:12pm #360447
cycloParticipantHow many examples do you need of me being right???
To state in April ’09 that Lawson and Flynn may end up better NBA players than Thabeet, Hill and Clark was a projection held by exactly one poster on this board. Me.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 3:54pm #360527

butidonthavemoney"but still all of us have been right before except Cyclo"

butidonthavemoneyWho’s LeBron?
Wasn’t he the big face on the Power Rangers?

1.Jason…he was the cool red ranger and leader…until Tommy showed up with that damn flute and took his leader role and his girl (the pink one)
2. The Blue Ranger for fighting aliens..yet being scared to death of fish
3. A two way tie between the black and yellow ranger, for accepting the colors of their uniforms was also a way to describe their race

butidonthavemoneyI’d say from 4-7. After that the show sucked. They got all different and replaced the Pink Ranger who I wanted to be lik… I mean had a crush on.

0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 6:44pm #360790

butidonthavemoneyI’m actually watching To Catch a Predator now. Part 6 of Greenville, Ohio.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 6:44pm #360791

McDunkinojj those old racing games started my “throwing the controller phase” and any game that involved jumping from place to place
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 6:47pm #360795

butidonthavemoneyI remember staying up late with some friends, laughing like idiots at Mario Frustration.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 6:47pm #360796

OrangeJuiceJonesParticipantI didn’t get into my controller-throwing phase until Halo 2 came out. I was like this kid, but worse because I would actually kill my own teammates when I reached my boiling point:
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 6:53pm #360805

butidonthavemoneyI think that Halo fans are all retarded.
They take that game too seriously.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 6:55pm #360808

McDunkin1. i suck at first person shooters
2. for me people online that use english as a second language seem like the ones that flip out and curse like crazy
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 6:56pm #360809

butidonthavemoneyI was good at Modern Warfare, but I suck at Modern Warfare 2.
I really suck. I bet people cuss at me like that guy behind their TV.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 6:57pm #360811

OrangeJuiceJonesParticipantI fell into that “retard” category, until I started blasting music over my mic. Most of the time, I blasted Backstreet Boys, N’Sync, Michael Jackson, and Baltimore Club Music. The game became much more fun, and I slowly regained my IQ.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 6:59pm #360814

OrangeJuiceJonesParticipantModern Warfare’s a tough game. You pretty much have to camp because there’s no health. It’s all about who sees whom first.

0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 7:06pm #360828

OrangeJuiceJonesParticipantCan you play Red Dead Redemption online with auto-aim?
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 7:06pm #360829

OrangeJuiceJonesParticipantAs far as my Halo career goes, the funniest message I ever got from a foreigner was, “Hey, asshole, no music, OK? Stop, asshole.”
I know it doesn’t sound funny, but I was almost in tears after I heard him say it. That Russian accent was too funny.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 7:10pm #360834

OrangeJuiceJonesParticipantThat settles it. (expletive) food; I’m buying Red Dead Redemption. I can’t remember the last time I played on Xbox Live with auto-aim.

OrangeJuiceJonesParticipantI’m average at best, but I actually got a Nuke once. I was playing on that really small map, and I just kept spawn killing until I got a nuke. Everybody hated me for it, but I had a huge smile on my face.

Just because a player isn’t a shot blocker doesn’t mean they can’t be a great defender. Karl Malone wasn’t a shot blocker either… He averaged less than a block per game for his entire career. However, he was a great defender.
