     I was on Myspace, (Yes, I still go on a daily base, just to check for notifications)
    Anyways, I saw these two people debating about it.
    This guy was saying Blake is better than Amare at every aspect of the game…
    I understand Blake is very good and he’s lived up to the hype through one game, but is he already better than Amare?

    Of course not. As of right now, most people are just hoping he can stay healthy.

    The potential is there though. IF he stays healthy, he could be better or just as good as Stoudemire in another year or two. He’s already a better rebounder and energy player than Stoudemire is right now. He also gives more effort on the defensive end.

    Definitely better due to this simple fact, your bigs shouldnt be your go to scorer, and clutch shot taker. A perimeter player should always be your clutch guy because in the final seconds of the game they tend to have better shot making abillity and range. All Stoudemire really has on Blake is his offensive repitoire. Now obviously Amare is the "better player" at this point of their careers, but when Blake reaches his cieling it wont even be close. Griffin will probally average near as many PPG, and have 5 rebounds and a block or 2 more then Amare in a nightly basis.

    The contagious energy, positive attitude, and rebounding and defensive instincts are what makes him better.

    I like Blake, but the extra inches that Amare has on him are a big deal.  Blake will never become as physically dominating a big man as Amare is.  However Blake is clearly a great player.  He reminds me more of Larry Johnson.

    @johneco

    Griffin and Stoudemire are the same height… Stoudemire just has longer arms.

    I met Larry Johnson at a NY game. He’s no taller then 6-6. I swear.

    Why is this a question? We haven’t seen Blake Griffin in crunchtime, we haven’t seen him as a #1 yet. I want to wait and see. Right now? No. 2 seasons from now? Yes.

    I think when some people are saying is Griffin better than Amare, it has nothing to do with the one game. Some people honestly feel he is a better player. I don’t think it’s all that far fetched. Amare is an excellent offensive player, but doesn’t do much of anything else. I’m not sure I have even seen Amare in crunch time. I saw a lot of Steve Nash in crutch time in Phx. Defensively Griffin is nothing great, but I would give him the advantage for effort and he should be a monster on the boards. Before the season I predicted a couple of 20 pt 20 reb games, but the way he came out the gate I might say he could get one or two more. He does however scare the s**t out of me. A guy that big that gets up as high as he does, means there is a long drop down with a lot of weight coming.

    I’m not going to say that Griffin is better though. I have seen him only play one NBA game and a handful of games in college. The potential is nice though. One game doesn’t make a player, especially a year after injury and when it comes to comparing him with a guy that is an all star year in and year out.. I need to say more in order to decide, but I see no reason he won’t pass Amare quickly.

    Only a dummy will say he’s better then allstar Amare after ONE game

    I guess Monte Ellis is the best scorer in the leauge as well to who ever thinks Blake is better since it’s been ONE game

    Demarcus cousins must be better than bosh as well

    He has the skill and work ethic to be better but he’s not there after ONE game.   It’s as silly as when maurbry said Amare was better than KG after a couple of games in Amares rookie year

    Acording to draft express’ official combine measurements, Amare has a 4 inch advantage in standing reach.

    Some people don’t like facts…

    @johneco

    Scroll up and read what you posted. You didn’t mention length or reach, so I assumed you were talking about height. They’re both 6′ 8.5" w/o shoes and 6′ 10" with.

    Yea, but in regard to length and reach… Amare has him.

    Hes not a better scorer, may never be. Hes better at everything else. Thats worth taking into consideration.

    He’s definitely not a better scorer, but similiar to Dwight Howard, in the way he attacks the boards with his athleticism, he gets a lot of easy baskets. That’s a plus for any team because he’s not going to demand many shots…at least not yet.

    He’s played one game@ohcanada. So how is he already better at everything else?  If we are comparing one game then compare his one game to amares one best game. Who had more rebounds? Blks? Points? Ast?

    Exactly. Makes zero sense

    You already naming him a allstar then since that was what Amare was last year
